Description
Sensor device and shelf rail system with a sensor device Technical Field The invention relates to a sensor device and a rack rail system having such a sensor device. Background WO2022188955A1 discloses a shelf rail system with a shelf Rail (REGALSCHIENE). Electronic appliances, such as sensor devices and/or electronic display devices, may be secured along the front portion of the shelf rail in a similar manner. The sensor device and the display device therefore have essentially identical fastening means, so that they can be pushed from below upwards into the pallet track in order to be releasably anchored there again. This provides a high degree of flexibility in terms of the loading possibilities of the pallet track. At the same time, loading the shelf rail with one or more sensor devices places a burden on the number of display devices that can be placed at the shelf rail. Disclosure of Invention The object of the present invention is therefore to eliminate this problem by providing an improved sensor device and an improved shelf rail system. This object is achieved by a sensor device according to the invention. The subject matter of the invention is therefore a sensor device designed for fastening to a pallet track, characterized in that the sensor device is designed for being mounted laterally to the pallet track. This object is further achieved by the pallet track system according to the invention. The invention therefore relates to a pallet track system with a pallet track at which the sensor device according to the invention is laterally arranged. The measure according to the invention brings the advantage that the sensor device leaves room provided at the pallet track along the front of the pallet track for other electronic appliances, such as electronic display devices or cameras, etc., which essentially have to be fixed at specific locations along the front of the pallet track in order to provide the desired function or effect there, and that the sensor device can be unobtrusively fixed at the side areas of the pallet track which are otherwise normally covered with side guards. The sensor device, which is laterally fastened to the pallet track, therefore replaces the side screen which is provided at the known pallet track and has no electronic function, and provides its sensor function at this location. Further particularly advantageous embodiments and developments of the invention result from the dependent claims and the following description. Other electronic appliances are preferably configured as electronic display devices. The electronic display device preferably has a screen, in particular an energy-saving reflective screen, particularly preferably an electrophoretic screen, for displaying product and/or price information. The electronic display device is preferably designed as an electronic shelf label, known under the english name "electronic shelf label" (ESL for short). The sensor device is basically used for detecting a state or event in the surroundings of the rack rail where the sensor device is fixed. Since the shelf rail is typically fixed at the front of the shelf, the status or event is related to the shelf or the surrounding environment of the shelf. The sensor device generates sensor data based on the detected state or event and provides it for further data processing or outputs the sensor data. The sensor devices may be divided as listed below in terms of the state to be detected or the event to be detected. According to a first aspect, the sensor device may be configured to detect a physical parameter. The physical parameter may occur in or in the surroundings of the pallet or also on or in the surroundings of the pallet, the pallet track with the sensor device being arranged, i.e. arranged, at the pallet. In the context of the first aspect, the sensor device may be configured for detecting a physical parameter as temperature, as carbon dioxide content in the air, as the presence or content of volatile (gaseous) harmful substances in the air, as air humidity or as the presence of liquid on a relevant shelf. For this purpose, conventional sensors are used in the sensor device. Further, in the context of the first aspect, the sensor device may be configured to detect the proximity, presence or distance of an object or person relative to the shelf or shelf grid. For this purpose, the sensor device may have an ultrasonic-based sensor, a radar-signal-based sensor or a laser-based sensor. The physical parameter describes the occurrence or change of the sensor signal reflected by the object and transmitted by the transmitter of the sensor, for example via signal strength or phase shift. In the context of the first aspect, the sensor device may also be applied to a sensor receiving and/or transmitting electromagnetic signals conforming to RFID and/or NFC. Such a sensor based on RFID and/or NFC signals is often referred to in jargon as an "interrogator" or "reader device" because an el
