Description
The invention relates to a device for providing a coil-shaped cushioning product for packaging purposes according to the preamble of claim 1. It is generally known to transform a web-like starting material, such as paper, into a strand-like cushioning material by mechanical crumpling. It is also known to wind this crumpled, strand-like cushioning material into a coil-shaped or spiral cushioning product. This coil-shaped cushioning product has the ability to support even heavy objects. To produce the coil-shaped cushioning product, the strand-like cushioning material is typically wound or coiled onto a rotating reel, which is then removed after winding. Examples of this are found in the EP 1 027 214 B1 and DE 10 2021 110 643 A1 specified. In the DE 199 40 665 A1 A roll winding device is shown, with a support roller that can be placed on a winding roll arrangement for winding material webs. The DE 20 2014 101 081 U1 describes a winding device for winding a rubberized cord web with a parallel guided intermediate layer web onto a material spool. Another winding device for bandages is present, made from the DE 10 2006 046 955 A1 known. The winding device allows various bandages of different widths and qualities to be wound up using a manual or electric drive. Another such device is in the DE 203 00 323 U1 shown. The object of the present invention is to create a device of the type mentioned above which works reliably and simply and with which it is possible to produce a densely packed coil-shaped cushioning product. The problem is solved by a device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims. Furthermore, essential features of the invention are described below and shown in the accompanying drawing. An advantage of the device according to the invention is that individual layers of the coil-shaped cushioning product lie on top of each other with high positional accuracy when the strand-like cushioning material is wound up. This can be achieved with the guide carriage of the guide device with minimal design effort. The guide carriage guides the strand-like cushioning material between the dispensing device and the winding device in a feed direction, thus along a predetermined or predetermined path, at least laterally. In particular, the cushioning material can also be guided transversely to the lateral guide and at least partially parallel to the guide carriage. Additionally, it is possible for the cushioning material to be guided vertically in the area of the guide carriage, for example, by preventing or at least limiting upward escape via a crossbeam or an upper connecting section. The cushioning material is then "transferred" from the guide device to the winding device in a predetermined position. The movement of the guide carriage, at least approximately parallel to the feed direction, further ensures that the cushioning material is wound up by the winding device at the same, and preferably the smallest possible, distance to the winding device and/or the same winding angle, even as the diameter of the cushioning product increases. The winding process can be performed repeatedly with consistent quality, resulting in less waste, more precise production of upholstery products, and cost savings. Furthermore, the distance between the guide carriage and the winding device, as well as the winding angle, allows for the adaptation of different upholstery materials or requirements such as diameter or winding density. Specifically, this is achieved by a device for providing a coil-shaped cushioning product for packaging purposes, which initially comprises a dispensing device for providing a three-dimensional, strand-like cushioning material. This can be, for example, either a dispenser that retrieves and provides a strand-like cushioning material from a storage area, or, for example, the outlet of a device that produces the strand-like cushioning material from a flat, web-like starting material, such as a flat paper web or a plastic tube, by forming it, for example by crumpling or inflating it. Furthermore, the device according to the invention comprises a winding device which winds the strand-like cushioning material into the coil-shaped cushioning product. Between the dispensing device and the winding device A guide device is arranged that guides the cushioning material, at least partially, from the supply device in a feed direction to the winding device. The guide device includes a guide carriage for the lateral guidance of the cushioning material. In particular, the cushioning material can also be guided transversely to the lateral guide and at least partially parallel to the guide carriage. Additionally, it is possible for the cushioning material to also be guided vertically in the area of the guide carriage, for example, by preventing or at least limiting upward escape by means of a crossbeam or an upper connecting section. The guide carriage can ha
