Description

The present invention relates to an armrest system for motor vehicles, comprising a plurality of armrests and a plurality of bearing devices, wherein the armrests and bearing devices are designed such that an armrest can be pivotably mounted on each bearing device, wherein each armrest has at least one stop which, in a pivoting direction of the armrest, interacts with a counter-stop of the bearing device in order to limit a pivoting path of the armrest relative to the bearing device. Furthermore, the invention relates to an armrest device, in particular a center armrest for a motor vehicle, with an armrest that is rotatably mounted on a bearing device. Armrest systems and armrest devices are already known from the prior art. For example, the published patent applications disclose DE 10 2018 110 819 A1 , DE 10 2016 117 509 A1 , DE 10 2011 102 273 A1 and DE 10 2017 214 635 A1 Each armrest assembly comprises an armrest and a bearing assembly, wherein the armrest is pivotably mounted relative to the bearing assembly. The armrest assemblies disclosed in the aforementioned publications have in common that the pivot angle of the respective armrest relative to the bearing assembly is variable. For this purpose, the respective armrest and the respective bearing assembly are designed to influence the pivot path of the armrest by providing connecting bolts at one of several possible positions or by actuable adjustment devices. The present invention is based on the objective of creating an improved armrest system that enables a cost-effective, weight-saving and easy-to-manufacture design of the armrest device. The problem underlying the invention is solved by an armrest system with the features of claim 1. This system is characterized in that the plurality of armrests comprises at least two variants of armrests, which differ from one another in the position of the stop, in particular with respect to the pivot axis or bearing pin receptacle. Thus, when manufacturing the armrest assembly, the selection of at least two variants of armrests is necessary, with a different pivot path of the armrest assembly resulting depending on which variant of armrests is selected. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the plurality of bearing assemblies additionally comprises at least two variants of bearing assemblies, which differ from one another in the position of the counter-stop. This results in the same effect. Regardless of which bearing assemblies is selected, the different position of the counter-stop results in a changing pivot path of the armrest relative to the bearing assembly, so that the pivot path of the armrest can be predetermined by selecting a variant of the bearing assemblies. During assembly, a choice can now be made between the variants of armrests and/or the variants of bearing devices in order to set a suitable or optimal swivel range of the armrest for the selected vehicle. According to the invention, each armrest has a support element that includes a bearing bolt receptacle and, spaced apart from it, a stop. The bearing bolt receptacle serves to receive a bearing bolt, in particular of the bearing assembly, to ensure the pivotability of the armrest relative to the bearing assembly. Optionally, a rolling element bearing can also be associated with the bearing bolt receptacle, which interacts with the bearing bolt. The different positions of the armrest stop are defined, in particular, by the position of the stop relative to the bearing bolt receptacle. According to the invention, the position of the stops on the at least two variants of the armrests differs from one another in their distance and/or angle to the bearing bolt receptacle. For example, the swivel path is influenced by the fact that the stop in the two variants is arranged closer to or further away from the bearing bolt receptacle. Alternatively, the stop is arranged at different angles to the center of the bearing bolt receptacle or at different positions along a circumference around the center of the bearing bolt receptacle in order to influence the swivel path. Preferably, a first and a second stop are arranged on the support element, designed to interact with different counter-stops of the respective bearing assembly in different pivot directions. The two stops limit the pivot path of the armrest in both directions, with the armrest variants being designed such that, depending on the variant, the first stop and/or the second stop differs in its position, particularly with respect to the bearing bolt receptacle or the pivot axis of the armrest, as described above. Thus, not only is the The maximum upright position of the armrest, as well as the resting position of the armrest facing away from it, can be adjusted by selecting bearing devices and armrests from the armrest system. In particular, the stop has a curved contact surface to ensure advantageous contact with the counter-stop. This prevents the armrest from jamming or snaggi
