Description

The invention relates to a covering device for a window recess of a motor vehicle door, a motor vehicle door and a motor vehicle. There is a need for vehicles with door handles that are aesthetically pleasing while simultaneously meeting safety regulations. So-called flush-mounted handles or door handles at least partially satisfy these design requirements. However, they must also comply with safety regulations. It is particularly important that first responders can access the occupants from outside the vehicle in an emergency. With doors featuring minimalist handles or flush-mounted handles recessed into the bodywork, it can be difficult for first responders to gain access to the vehicle in an emergency. From the FR 3096713 A1 and the DE 10 2019 117 779 A1 Handle arrangements are known that feature a minimalist design and allow electronic actuation of the locking mechanism. A disadvantage of the disclosed handle arrangements is the engagement area, which is always open at the top and susceptible to dirt and accidental operation, particularly in car washes. It is therefore an object of the present invention to overcome at least one of the disadvantages described above, at least partially. In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide a cover device with an actuating unit that, with a minimalist design, reliably protects against accidental activation and dirt. The aforementioned problem is solved by a covering device according to a first aspect of the present invention, by a motor vehicle door according to a second aspect of the present invention, and by a motor vehicle according to a third aspect of the present invention. Further features and details of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims, the description, and the drawings. Features and details described in connection with the covering device according to the invention naturally also apply in connection with the motor vehicle door and/or the motor vehicle according to the invention, and vice versa, so that the disclosure relating to the individual aspects of the invention always includes, or allows for, reciprocal reference. According to a first aspect, the present invention relates to a covering device for a window recess of a motor vehicle door, comprising a base body for at least partially covering the window recess and an engagement recess of the motor vehicle door, wherein the base body has an actuating section with a grip recess for a user's hand and wherein an actuating unit is provided for actuating a closing device of the motor vehicle door by means of the user's hand. In this context, a window shaft is to be understood as a shaft or cavity in the vehicle door, wherein a window of the vehicle door can be lowered, at least partially, into the window shaft during an opening process. The cover devices according to the invention offer the advantage that the door opening function can be integrated into a cover device and thus provided discreetly yet user-friendly on a vehicle. Covers for window recesses are proven elements for the exterior design of a vehicle. In this respect, the door opening function is discreetly integrated into the overall appearance of the vehicle. Disturbing gaps or edges in the outer skin of the vehicle door can be eliminated in this way, resulting in a homogeneous overall impression of the vehicle and, at the same time, improved aerodynamics due to reduced wind resistance. In addition to covering the window recess, the cover device according to the invention offers the advantage that the recess present on the vehicle door is at least partially covered and/or concealed. This means that the cover device specifically covers an access area or recess on the door, wherein the access area, and thus the recess, is located in the area of the window pane on the vehicle door. For this purpose, a concave area, i.e., a recess, can be provided in the outer door panel or skin of the vehicle door, which differs accordingly from the rest of the vehicle door's external appearance. Because the cover device at least partially covers this recess, the area is also protected from external environmental influences. Furthermore, the cover device offers the advantage that no recess for attaching the door handle is required on the vehicle door, particularly on the outer door skin. The cover device, which is arranged and preferably attached to the window channel, It can also be mounted on the outer door panel without additional fastening. The motor vehicle door can preferably be designed as a side door, specifically a front or rear passenger door, but within the spirit and scope of the present invention any vehicle door, including swing doors or tailgates, bonnets, side sliding doors, tailgates, rear doors, gullwing doors or the like, can be included. The window channel of a motor vehicle is the upper section of the vehicle door through which the window pane is guided as it moves up or down. Typically, the window chann
