Description

The present invention relates to a protective device, a system device and a vehicle. Fuel cell systems are well-known. They can be used in various applications, such as vehicles, ships, aircraft, or as APUs (Auxiliary Power Units). Fuel cell systems are generally developed for specific applications, taking into account the relevant regulations and standards. In some applications where the fuel cell system is not highly integrated, it can be misused, for example, by using an APU system for a mobile application (e.g., in a van or ship). The scope of application is usually defined/restricted in an operating manual (operating instructions, possibly including organizational measures). Conversely, a fuel cell system or other system components can be misused outside their intended scope of application. It is an object of the present invention to at least partially overcome the disadvantages described above. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a protective device or a system device with such a protective device or a vehicle with such a system device, wherein the protective device ensures, in a particularly simple and/or particularly reliable manner, the safe operation of a system device, e.g., a fuel cell system, and/or a vehicle. The foregoing problem is solved by a protective device having the features of claim 1, a system device having the features of claim 7, a vehicle having the features of claim 10, and a method having the features of claim 11. Further features and details of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims, the description, and the drawings. Features and details described in connection with the protective device according to the invention naturally also apply in connection with the system device and/or vehicle and/or method according to the invention, and vice versa, so that the disclosure of the individual aspects of the invention always makes, or can make, reciprocal references. According to a first aspect, the present invention discloses a protective device for a system device, wherein the protective device is for detecting misuse of the system device. The protective device comprises an information interface for receiving status information. The protective device further comprises a detection unit for processing the received status information, and wherein the detection unit is configured to detect the misuse of the system device based on the processed status information and, in response to the detection of the misuse of the system device, to output a control signal, in particular via an output interface. Misuse of the system device is, in particular, an application of the system device for which the system device is not intended, especially if it is not designed for and cannot be operated safely, particularly because, for example, there may be a danger to living beings. The status information can include, for example, physical state variables and/or geographical state variables. Optical state information can also be acquired via an optical detection unit. The detection unit can consist of instruction code, i.e., software (computer program), and/or one or more special electronic circuits, i.e., in hardware, or in any hybrid form, i.e., using software and hardware components, to process the received status information and/or output the control signal. The detection unit can be a single unit or a distributed detection system with multiple units interconnected via communication technology to process the received status information and/or output the control signal. It is conceivable that in a vehicle with such a protective device, the detection unit or its functions could be at least partially implemented externally, for example, by an external data processing system. By having the detection unit of the protective device recognize the misuse of the system device and, in response to the recognition of the misuse of the system device, output a control signal, e.g. a control signal to a control device of the system device to transfer the system device By sending a signal to a safe state, the safe operation of a system device, e.g., a fuel cell system, and/or a vehicle with such a system device can be achieved particularly easily and/or reliably. This significantly minimizes the risks arising from misuse. In a protective device according to the invention, it can be advantageous for the device to have a detection unit for acquiring at least one state variable of the protective device and for providing state information as at least part of the state information at the information interface. This allows the protective device to detect misuse of the system device with particular reliability. Specifically, the detection unit can acquire a state variable indicative of the speed and/or acceleration and/or energy consumption of the protective device, and/or a state variable indicative of the temperature of the protective device, and/or a state variable indicativ
