Description

The invention relates to a cooking appliance comprising a cooking chamber, an exhaust device which includes a fume extraction unit for the cooking chamber, and a control unit connected to the exhaust device via signal transmission. The invention further relates to a cooking appliance assembly comprising such a cooking appliance. Cooking appliances are known from the prior art. They serve to cook food in a cooking chamber atmosphere. The essential parameters are the temperature, humidity, and circulation rate of the cooking chamber atmosphere. Microwave radiation can be used additionally or alternatively. The invention relates to a cooking appliance for professional use, for example in restaurants, canteens and large-scale catering establishments, as known under the term "combi steamer". In such a cooking appliance, different cooking programs can run in a more or less automated manner. Such cooking appliances usually have a ventilation system designed to extract fumes rising from the cooking chamber when the door to the cooking chamber is opened during operation, for example to remove cooked food from the cooking chamber or to add more food to the cooking chamber. The object of the invention is to provide an improved cooking device and a cooking device assembly with such a cooking device, which, through extended functionalities, meet a broader range of requirements. The task is solved by a cooking appliance with a cooking chamber, an exhaust system which has a first extraction unit for the cooking chamber, and a control unit connected to the exhaust system via signal transmission. The exhaust system has a second extraction unit for a second cooking appliance. According to the invention, it was discovered that the exhaust device of the first cooking appliance provides a second exhaust system for a further cooking appliance, allowing fumes generated during the operation of the second cooking appliance to be extracted via this second exhaust system. This functionality is thus provided by the first or primary cooking appliance, enabling the second or secondary cooking appliance to operate without its own exhaust system. In this way, additional cooking appliances can be flexibly operated near the first cooking appliance and benefit from its extended functionality. The first cooking appliance therefore provides a functionality that goes beyond the application areas of conventional prior art cooking appliances. The first extraction unit can be attached to the housing of the first cooking appliance and thus be permanently connected to it. In other words, the extraction device is an integral part of the first cooking appliance and not merely a separate extraction unit attached to the first cooking appliance. This ensures the effective operation of the extraction device. Additionally or alternatively, the first and second extractor hoods can be connected via a duct. This allows fumes from both appliances to be extracted through the shared duct, making the extraction system particularly efficient. In this context, the extraction device can, according to one aspect, have a shut-off valve with a first position in which the first and second extraction units are connected via the extraction duct, and a second position in which the first and second extraction units are separated from each other by the shut-off valve. Thus, the extraction units can be decoupled from each other by means of the shut-off valve to ensure efficient use of only one of the two extraction units and therefore only one of the two cooking appliances. In one embodiment, the second extraction unit is connected to the first extraction unit via an adjustable swivel arm. This allows the second extraction unit to be positioned flexibly and with minimal effort where it can effectively extract fumes from the second cooking appliance. In an alternative embodiment, the second extractor fan is arranged on the underside of the cooking appliance and is therefore particularly effective for a second cooking appliance that is arranged below the first cooking appliance. In this case, the second extraction device can have an air inlet on one side of the cooking appliance, allowing steam to escape at the corresponding side. Air can be extracted particularly effectively from the side via the air intake. In particular, the air inlet of the second extractor fan is located on a side of the cooking appliance that is neither the top nor the bottom of the cooking appliance. According to the invention, a cooking appliance assembly is also provided to solve the aforementioned problem. This assembly comprises a cooking appliance according to the invention, having the advantages mentioned above, and a second cooking appliance. The second extraction device is designed to extract fumes generated by the operation of the second cooking appliance. Since the second extraction device for the second cooking appliance is part of the extraction system of the first cooking appliance, the extr
