Description
The invention relates to a cover plate device for a vehicle. In general, a vehicle that has a luggage compartment (e.g. a cargo space) between a rear seat (e.g. a second-row seat) and a tailgate may be equipped with a cover board (e.g. a cover panel) configured to cover the luggage compartment. When the cover board is in use, it is installed so that it extends from the top of a luggage side panel in a forward/backward direction (i.e., a front/rear direction). When not in use, the cover board is left unattended in the luggage compartment unless there is a separate storage space or procedure for it. Even if there is a separate storage space or procedure, the complicated stowage process can create an inconvenient situation. Furthermore, it is desirable to prevent any noise (a rattling noise) from occurring while the vehicle is in motion, regardless of whether the cover board is in use or not. The invention provides a cover board device for a vehicle, comprising a cover board that is arranged behind the rear seat of the vehicle and is accommodated and stowed by a simple and robust structure that tilts upwards (e.g. in an upwardly tilted position) when the cover board is not in use, thus preventing the occurrence of noise and improving convenience and marketability. In some embodiments of the invention, a cover board device for a vehicle comprises: a cover board (e.g. a cover board, e.g. a cover plate), side supports, each of which are rigidly coupled to the side surfaces of the cover board, and dampers, each of which are rigidly coupled to the side surfaces of the cover board. In one embodiment, the side brackets can each be rigidly coupled to the side surfaces of the cover plate in their front end positions, based on the vehicle's forward/reverse direction. The dampers can each be rigidly coupled to the side surfaces of the cover plate in their rear end positions, also based on the vehicle's forward/reverse direction. The cover panel, to which the side supports and dampers are connected, can be installed so that it extends from the upper side of a luggage compartment side panel in a forward/backward direction when the cover panel is in use. When the cover panel is not in use, it can be positioned behind a rear seat (e.g., a second-row seat) and stowed (e.g., stored, tucked away) at an upward angle. In some embodiments, a first projection may extend from a front face of an upper end of the luggage side panel. The front face of the upper end of the luggage side panel faces the rear seat. A seat section may extend in the forward/backward direction and is provided at the upper end of the luggage side panel, positioned aft of the first projection. When the cover panel is in use, the first projection may be fitted with a corresponding side support beneath the side supports, and a damper beneath the dampers may be located on the seat section, so that the cover panel can be installed to extend from the upper face of the luggage side panel in the forward/backward direction. In one embodiment, a second projection can extend from a position on the luggage compartment side panel, with the position being downwards and forwards relative to the first projection. When the cover panel is not in use, the second projection can be aligned with the corresponding side bracket, and the first projection can be aligned with the damper, so that the cover panel can be positioned behind the rear seat and stowed in the upward-tilted position. In a state where the cover board is upright, so that the side bracket is positioned lower than the damper, if the cover board is installed behind the rear seat and tilted upwards, the second projection can be aligned and coupled with the side bracket first, the cover board can be rotated downwards around the second projection by pushing down on an upper end of the cover board with the damper, the damper can be moved towards the first projection by rotating the cover board, and then the first projection can be aligned and coupled with the damper so that the cover board can be installed fully tilted upwards. In one embodiment, if the cover board is in a state in which the With the cover plate upright and the corresponding side bracket positioned lower than the damper, the second projection, which is fitted to the corresponding side bracket, is configured to allow the cover plate to rotate downwards around the second projection when an upper end of the cover plate is pressed downwards, so that the damper is moved towards the first projection and then coupled to the first projection. In one embodiment, a retaining opening can be formed in the corresponding side retainer; the first projection can be inserted into the retaining opening (e.g., penetrating it) when the cover plate is used, and the second projection can be inserted into the retaining opening (e.g., penetrating it) when the cover plate is not used. In one embodiment, each of the dampers can be designed as an integrated elastic body (e.g., an i
