Description
BACKGROUND Technical field The present disclosure relates to a roller control device, a roller control method and an image acquisition control system, and relates in particular to a method for automatically controlling the operation of image acquisition devices. Description of the related technique JP 2020-25248 A reveals an image acquisition system in which a multitude of cameras are divided into a main camera and secondary cameras, and the secondary cameras are controlled to take pictures of the same object as an object captured by the main camera. At the in JP 2020-25248 A The described image acquisition system allows for automatic control of image acquisition by the secondary cameras, thereby achieving a saving of labor. SUMMARY In the JP 2020-25248 A In the described image acquisition system, a camera located closer to the object is automatically set as the main camera. This leaves room for improvement regarding the degree of freedom in setting the main camera and secondary cameras according to the user's intent. In light of this, the present disclosure, according to one of its aspects, provides a roller control device and a roller control method for improving the degree of freedom in setting a camera with respect to automatic image acquisition control. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a role control device is provided for managing a role set for a physical camera, wherein the role control device comprises: a first generating device (such as a role setting application running on the role control device) for generating first information (such as a set of roles) that specifies a correspondence between a plurality of virtual cameras and their respective roles set for them, and a second generating device for generating third information (such as a role definition list) that specifies the definitions of the roles. According to a further embodiment of the present disclosure, a role control device is provided which controls the operation of a physical camera according to a role set for it, wherein the role control device comprises: a first generating device for generating first information that specifies a correspondence between a plurality of virtual cameras and respective roles set for them, and a second generating device for generating third information that specifies definitions of the roles. The second generation device can include a role definition application running on the role control device. The second generation device can also include a storage device (such as a ROM, HDD, and/or the like) that stores the third piece of information. In some examples, the roll control device includes a control unit configured to control the operation of the physical camera according to the roll set for it. In some examples, the physical camera is one of a multitude of physical cameras. In some examples, the roll control device is used to manage a roll that is set for a variety of physical cameras. In some examples, the roller control device further includes a third generating device (such as a roller setting application running on the roller control device) for generating second pieces of information that specify a correspondence relationship between the plurality of physical cameras and the plurality of virtual cameras. In some examples, each of the multitude of virtual cameras can be associated with the physical camera and/or another of the multitude of physical cameras. In some examples, the third set of information, which specifies the role definitions, includes information defining a first role (such as a role for a secondary camera) set for a first physical camera of the plurality of physical cameras, which operates in cooperation with a second physical camera of the plurality of physical cameras for which a second role (such as a role for a main camera) is set, and contains one or more of the following information: whether or not an object of interest is to be set as the object to be tracked by the second physical camera, a position of the object to be tracked Object on a screen, sensitivity of an object tracking processing, and whether the same zoom direction as or an opposite zoom direction to a zoom direction of the second physical camera is to be set. In some examples, the third set of information, which specifies the definitions of the roles, includes information that defines a first role for performing an operation in cooperation with another camera, and contains one or more of the following: whether an object of interest from the other camera is to be set as an object to be tracked, a position of the object to be tracked on a screen, a sensitivity of an object tracking processing, and whether the zoom direction is to be the same as, or opposite to, the zoom direction of the other camera. In some examples, the roll control device further includes a display device (such as a GUI screen or an LCD) for displaying a setting screen (such as a roll setting screen) on which the second rol
