Abstract

A packaging (1) for smoking products comprising: a group (19) of smoking products; a wrapper (3) having a parallelepiped shape enclosing the group (19) of smoking products, consisting of an envelope sheet (24) enclosing the group (19) of smoking products and having a removable section (25) which is at least partially bounded by a notch (26) made through the envelope sheet (24) and defining a tear-off line; a container (2) which is cup-shaped, has an open top end and receives the sealed wrapper (3); a lid (4) which is cup-shaped and hinged to the container (2); and a rim (14) which is attached inside the container (2) such that it partially projects from the open top end. The wreath (14) has a detachable element (28) which is connected to the rest of the wreath (14) in such a way that it can be separated from it by tearing along at least one tearable connecting line (29) and is permanently and firmly attached to the removable section (25) of the sealed covering (3) in such a way that by separating the detachable element (28) from the wreath (14) the removable section (25) of the sealed covering (3) is also removed at the same time.

Claims (11)

  1. Packaging (1) for smoking products, comprising: a group (19) of smoking products; a preferably sealed wrapping (3) having a parallelepiped shape enclosing the group (19) of smoking products, comprising an envelope sheet (24) enclosing the group (19) of smoking products and comprising a removable section (25) that is at least partially bounded by a notch (26) formed by the envelope sheet (24) and defining a tear-off line; a container (2) that is cup-shaped, has an open top end and receives the wrapping (3); a lid (4) that is cup-shaped and hinged to the container (2); and a rim (14) that is attached inside the container (2) such that it partially projects from the open top end of the container (2); wherein the packaging (1) for smoking products is characterized in that the ring (14) comprises a tearable element (28) which is connected to the rest of the ring (14) in such a way that it can be separated from it by tearing along at least one tearable connecting line (29), and is permanently and firmly attached to the removable section (25) of the covering (3) in such a way that by separating the tearable element (28) from the ring (14) the removable section (25) of the covering (3) is also removed at the same time.
  2. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to Claim 1 , wherein the incision (26) which limits the removable section (25) is not a penetrating incision.
  3. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to Claim 1 or 2 , wherein the incision (26) has a closed shape such that the removable section (25) is limited on all sides.
  4. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to Claim 1 , 2 or 3 , wherein the removable section (25) extends into part of a front wall of the enclosure (3) and into part of an upper wall of the enclosure (3).
  5. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein: the ring (14) comprises a front wall (15) and two side walls (16) which are folded at 90° with respect to the front wall (15); the front wall (15) of the ring (14) has a window (17) arranged at the top, which is U-shaped and exposes an upper region of a front wall of the wrapping (3); and the tear-away element (28) of the ring (14) is arranged at least partially within the window (17) of the front wall (15) of the ring (14).
  6. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to Claim 5 , wherein the detachable element (28) of the wreath (14) is connected to an edge (18) of the window (17) of the front wall (15) of the wreath (14) by means of two respective tearable connecting lines (29).
  7. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to one of claims 1 to 6, wherein there is an empty space, namely a through-opening, under the tearable element (28) of the ring (14).
  8. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein: the ring (14) comprises a front wall (15) and two side walls (16) which are folded at 90° with respect to the front wall (15); and the tearable element (28) of the ring (14) is completely coplanar to the front wall (15) of the ring (14) and extends only in the area of a front wall of the covering (3).
  9. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein: the ring (14) comprises a front wall (15) and two side walls (16) which are folded at 90° with respect to the front wall (15); and the tearable element (28) of the ring (14) comprises a front part (31) which is coplanar to the front wall (15) of the ring (14) and extends only in the region of a front wall of the covering (3), and an upper part (32) which is perpendicular to the front component (31) and extends only in the region of an upper wall of the covering (3).
  10. Packaging (1) for smoking products according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein: the ring (14) comprises a front wall (15) and two side walls (16) which are folded at 90° with respect to the front wall (15); the tearable element (28) of the ring (14) is completely perpendicular to the front wall (15) and to the side walls (16) of the ring (14) and extends only in the area of an upper wall of the covering (3).
  11. A method for manufacturing the packaging (1) for smoking products according to any one of claims 1 to 10, comprising the following steps: inserting the sealed wrapping (3) into a pocket (34) in a first feeding station; pre-applying adhesive (30) to the rim (14) in the area of the tear-off element (28) or onto the sealed covering (3) in the area of the removable section (25); coupling the flat ring (14) with the pocket (34) in a second feeding station, wherein the ring (14) is held at a non-zero distance from the sealed covering (3); subsequently applying the ring (14) to the sealed covering (3) such that the tear-off element (28) of the ring (14) adheres to the removable section (25) of the sealed covering (3) with the adhesive (30) located between them; and removing the sealed covering (3) from the pocket (34), causing the ring (14) to be folded into a 'U' shape around the sealed covering (3).

Cross-reference to related registrations This patent application claims priority over Italian patent application no. 102023000016263 , submitted on August 1, 2023, the disclosure of which is fully incorporated herein by reference. Technical field The present invention relates to a packaging for smoking products with a hinged lid and provided with a preferably sealed outer covering. The present invention is advantageously applied to the manufacture of a packaging for cigarettes which is provided with a sealed outer casing, to which the following disclosure will expressly refer without thereby losing its general validity. State of the art Cigarette packaging with a hinged lid is currently the most widespread type of cigarette packaging on the market, as it is easy to manufacture, lightweight, practical to use, and provides good protection for the cigarettes inside. A cigarette package with a hinged lid comprises a wrapper consisting of a group of cigarettes wrapped in a sheet of paper, and an outer casing that receives the wrapper. The outer casing consists of a cup-shaped container that receives the wrapper containing the group of cigarettes, and a lid that is also cup-shaped and hinged to the container. In conventional cigarette packaging, the group of cigarettes is wrapped without adhesive in a rectangular sheet of metallic paper. This type of packaging is easily recyclable but does not preserve the integrity of the cigarette tobacco. To preserve the integrity of the cigarette tobacco, it has been proposed to produce a sealed (waterproof) wrapper consisting of a sheet of paper made from a water-resistant and heat-sealable material, with a dispensing opening for removing the cigarettes, sealed by a reusable plastic tamper-evident label. This type of packaging preserves the cigarette tobacco but is more difficult to recycle, as the smoker must separate the materials (specifically, once the pack of cigarettes is finished, the smoker should separate the tamper-evident label from the rest of the sealed wrapper). The patent applications WO2016001826A1 and WO2023079447A1 describe a packaging for cigarettes wherein a wrapper enclosing a group of cigarettes has a lifting section at the top and front, which is separated from the rest of the wrapper by a pre-weakened dividing line and is torn off when the lid is first opened. Description of the invention The object of the present invention is to provide a packaging for smoking products with a hinged lid and a preferably sealed outer casing, wherein the packaging enables the preservation of the tobacco of the cigarettes, has a better environmental friendliness and at the same time is simple and intuitive to use. In accordance with the present invention, a packaging for smoking products is provided with a hinged lid and a preferably sealed outer covering, as claimed in the attached claims. The claims describe embodiments of the present invention which form an integral part of the present description.
