Description

The present invention relates to the technical field of luminaires, for example a luminaire and a luminaire system comprising a luminaire housing and a luminaire. Luminaires typically have a housing for a light source, accessible through one or more openings. These openings need to be covered for various reasons, such as safety, aesthetics, or to optimize illumination and luminous efficacy. The object of the invention is to provide solutions for simplifying the covering of an opening in a light fixture with regard to manufacturing costs, ease of assembly, and safety. In particular, the disadvantages of previously known solutions are to be avoided or at least substantially reduced. The above problem is solved according to the invention by the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are specified in the dependent claims, in the description, and in the accompanying figures. A luminaire is proposed. The luminaire has a luminaire carrier extending along a longitudinal axis between two end faces with a front and a back, the back of which has a projection. The luminaire further has a luminaire compartment provided on the front of the luminaire carrier for receiving a light source, the luminaire compartment being accessible via openings on the sides of the end faces. The luminaire also has a cover. The cover in turn has: (i) a first section for resting on the back, wherein the first section has a receiving area which, when the first section rests on the back, can receive at least part of the projection; (ii) a second section extending transversely to the first section, which, when the first section rests on the back, is provided for covering at least part of one of the openings; and (iii) a third section extending transversely to the first section, which has a contact area which, when the first section rests on the back, rests axially against a contact area of the projection facing axially away from the opening covered by the second section. Furthermore, the luminaire has a fixing means for insertion into the luminaire holder, in particular such that, with the first section resting on the back, the first section is inserted between a holding section of the fixing means and the back of the luminaire holder. In other words, for example, a luminaire is proposed that has an elongated luminaire carrier, the front of which forms a luminaire chamber for accommodating a light source, and the rear of which features a projection. The luminaire includes, for example, a cover for concealing openings on the end face of the luminaire carrier that lead to the luminaire chamber. For example, the luminaire includes a fixing element that can be inserted into the luminaire carrier to secure the cover between the fixing element and the luminaire carrier. In particular, the cover can be hooked into the projection to cover the opening when hooked in place. The cover has, for example, various sections or functional sections: a first section can rest on the rear face and accommodate the projection, a second section can cover one of the openings, and a third section can abut the projection axially or in the main direction of extension of the luminaire carrier and/or form a positive connection with the projection. The second and third sections regularly extend transversely to the first section, in particular at least with respect to a side of the respective section facing or intended to face the luminaire carrier. One, several or all of the sections can extend substantially and/or partially over a surface, in particular at least with regard to one/the side of the respective section facing or to be facing the light carrier. The invention improves the method of covering the openings of a luminaire. Thanks to the cover, a luminaire opening can now be covered cost-effectively, easily, securely, and preferably reversibly. Even under vibration, the cover remains in position due to the provided fixing agent. Furthermore, the cover is easily removable, particularly due to the use of the fixing agent. The light carrier is, in particular, elongated along its longitudinal axis. For example, the light carrier has a cross-sectional profile with respect to the longitudinal axis that is essentially uniform along the longitudinal axis. The light carrier extends from one end face, in particular, essentially in a straight line to the other end face. The end faces are, for example, opposite or opposite ends of the light carrier. The front and back faces are regularly located between the end faces and/or are opposite or opposite each other. The front and back faces are regularly The luminaire is formed moderately as areas on opposite sides of the luminaire carrier. For example, the projection is located on the rear. The projection is not located on the front. The luminaire's housing is located on the front. The luminaire housing is not located on the rear. The projection is, for example, formed integrally with the light fixture. The projection preferably
