Description
The present invention relates to a round container made of fiber-based material for holding goods, a set comprising two such round containers, a round can comprising one such round container, a set comprising one such round can and one such round container, a cutting set for manufacturing such a round container and a cutting set for manufacturing such a round can. Round containers made of fiber-based materials such as cardboard, corrugated board, and/or paper are often superior to plastic containers for sustainability reasons. Such cylindrical round containers made of fiber-based materials are well-known. A disadvantage is that they cannot be easily nested, i.e., stacked inside one another, meaning that these round containers require a lot of space when transported or stored in large numbers. It is an object of the present invention to provide a round container made of fiber-based material in which a large number of such round containers can be stored and/or transported with less space requirement. This problem is solved by the subject matter of the independent claim. Advantageous further developments and preferred embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent claims. The invention is based on the idea of shaping one side wall of the round container conically to achieve nesting capability. In particular, side flaps that fold outwards from the side wall are also provided, which can serve as spacers during nesting. According to one aspect of the invention, a round container made of fiber-based material, in particular cardboard, paperboard, and/or paper, for holding goods is provided. The round container has a bottom wall and a side wall element connected to the bottom wall. The side wall element has a conical side wall. The round container has a receiving space for holding the goods, which is laterally, in particular completely and/or circumferentially, bounded by the side wall and on an underside of the round container by the bottom wall. The round container has an opening on an upper surface opposite the underside for inserting the goods into the receiving space and, in particular, for removing the goods from the receiving space. The side wall element has at least two side flaps that fold outwards from the side wall and are arranged at the same height, in particular along a vertical axis of the round container perpendicular to the bottom wall. The bottom wall is designed to be flat or approximately flat. Accordingly, its vertical axis is defined by a normal vector or a normal direction to the plane of the bottom wall, or is parallel to it. The terms "top" and "bottom," and related terms, refer to the vertical axis here and in the following, unless otherwise specified. Therefore, in the case of a round container, the bottom wall is at the bottom, and an edge of the side wall facing away from the bottom wall is at the top, which is also referred to as the upper edge. The side wall can be designed to be rotationally symmetric or approximately rotationally symmetric about the vertical axis. Here and in the following, the term "outside" refers to a radial direction away from the vertical axis, while the term "inside" refers to the opposite direction. If the side flaps are folded outwards from the side wall, this means in particular that they are not located in the recording space but on a side of the side wall facing away from the recording space. The round container is specifically described as such because a contour of the side wall in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the vertical axis is circular or approximately circular. The fact that the side wall is conical can be understood in particular to mean that the side wall has the shape of a truncated cone, especially a right truncated cone. The opening is, for example, limited or defined by, or essentially defined by, the upper edge of the side wall. The fact that the side wall element is connected to the bottom wall can be realized, for example, by gluing the side wall element to the bottom wall or by mechanical connection, i.e., in particular by force and/or form locking, or by being formed in one piece with the bottom wall. The side wall element can consist of the side wall itself, or the side wall and side panels, or it can include additional elements or components, for example, for connecting the side wall element to the bottom wall. The side wall can be single-layered or multi-layered. The bottom wall can also be single-layered or multi-layered. A multi-layered The design can be achieved, for example, by using two or more initially separate components arranged one on top of the other and optionally connected to each other. However, in some configurations it is also possible to fold a single component once or multiple times, resulting in two or more layers. The conical shape of the side wall offers a significant advantage in terms of the ability to nest multiple round containers according to the invention. Conventional cylindrical round contai
