Description
1. Technical field The invention relates to the field of pet supplies, in particular a dog harness for the safe and variable handling of a dog. 2. State of the art Various dog harnesses are known from current technology – most often with a leash ring on the back to distribute the leash pull across the dog's chest and relieve pressure on the sensitive larynx. Y-harnesses, which function similarly to my invention, sometimes have an additional ring at the front, on the dog's neck. However, because the straps sit on the shoulders, this is intentionally designed to avoid the appearance of a collar. Furthermore, dog harnesses are known that additionally feature a leash ring at the front of the dog's sternum to allow for stronger control. However, these regularly have the disadvantage that the harness twists sideways under tension. Alternatively, there are dog collars that allow for more targeted control of the dog, especially with larger dogs, during training, or in dangerous situations. Attaching a long leash or training leash to the collar is very risky for the animal's health due to the high forces exerted when the dog lunges at the leash. Due to their different functionalities, currently either a harness or a collar is required. The dog owner must choose between these two options. If switching between or combining the two methods is desired, two separate products must be used or carried. 3. Object of the invention The invention is based on the objective of providing a dog harness that combines the advantages of a harness without side twisting and a collar in a single device and allows for situation-dependent re-leashing without changing products. 4. Solution to the task This task is solved by a dog harness with the features of claim 1. The dog harness according to the invention has an integrated, split martingale collar in the shoulder/neck area, which is connected to the harness via two spaced-apart connection points. This provides the dog owner with several alternative leash attachment options: • Leash ring in the back area (6a) for long leashes and more freedom • Leash ring in the lower chest area (6b) for better control and even pulling force without lateral twisting of the harness • Leash ring on the integrated martingale collar (6c) for targeted control of the dog without choking effect Depending on the situation, the dog owner can therefore choose to leash the dog using the harness, the collar, or at several points simultaneously, without having to use an additional product. 5. Advantageous design In an advantageous embodiment, the integrated martingale collar is provided with at least one pass-through ring and at least one leash D-ring to form a split martingale function. Furthermore, the martingale collar is length-adjustable via regulators. A choking effect should be avoided when adjusting the collar. The waist belt is also length-adjustable via regulators. The harness preferably consists of webbing with firmly sewn-on padding. 6. Example of implementation The invention will now be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment. The harness consists of webbing (1) with padding (2). It comprises a harness section with back section (A), chest section (B), belly strap (D) and back strap (E). Additionally, a martingale collar (C) is connected to the back section (A) and the chest section (B) via two spaced-apart connecting rings (5a, 5b). The belly strap (D), which is firmly connected to the chest area (B), is closed around the dog's chest via buckles (3) with the back strap and handle (E), which is connected to the back area (A). A first leash ring (6a) is provided on the back area (A). The integrated martingale collar (C) has at least one additional leash ring (6c). Due to its special, two-part design, this ring remains centrally positioned when the leash is attached. The additional leash ring on the chest area (6b) is positioned in such a way as to reduce lateral twisting of the harness under pulling load.
