- Device for receiving and indirectly illuminating a planar element (40), comprising a frame body (10) with a visible side (12) and a rear side (14), characterized in that the frame body (10) has on an inner side (20) a geometric profile (22) for receiving and partially shielding at least one light source (30), wherein the frame body (10) comprises integrated fastening means (42) for fixing the planar element (40), so that the planar element (40) is in the The tated state is indirectly illuminated from the periphery by the light source (30).

This profile forms a protected space for a light source (30), which is shielded by a reflector surface (24) so that the light falls indirectly onto the planar element (40). The planar element (40), for example a wooden support plate, a 3D-printed element, a cast component, or a glass or plastic pane, is fixed in the frame body (10) by means of fastening elements (42). The fasteners (42) can be designed to allow tool-free assembly, for example by means of locking lugs, clamping elements or snap connections, as illustrated in the drawings. Alternatively, the fasteners (42) can also be designed for a force-fit or form-fit connection using a tool, for example by screwing, bonding or riveting. Electrical cables or external mounting elements are routed through at least one feedthrough (50). Modular interfaces (60) on the rear (14) allow for the attachment of accessories such as wall brackets (70) or stands (80).
