Description

The present invention relates to a dishwasher, in particular a commercial dishwasher, with a control device for controlling the dishwasher, in particular for controlling individual programs, especially treatment programs, of a dishwasher. A conventional commercial dishwasher generally comprises a wash chamber for holding dishes, one or more spray arm systems, a water inlet, a drain, heating elements, and/or one or more pumps, as well as a control unit. Sensors for monitoring temperature, water level, and, if applicable, detergent concentration may also be integrated. The machine is often equipped with a user interface for selecting wash programs. The machine typically performs several washing phases, including pre-rinsing, cleaning, rinsing, and drying. Water and detergent are metered, heated, and distributed onto the dishes via spray arms. Sensors monitor the relevant operating parameters and control the process accordingly. Commercial dishwashers are used particularly in restaurants, commercial kitchens, hospitals, and other facilities where large quantities of dishes need to be cleaned quickly. Depending on the situation, for example, conveyor dishwashers or automatic dishwashers with programmed wash cycles are used. Such a dishwasher is, for example, from the DE 10 2024 106 909 A1 known, wherein such a dishwasher also includes optical item recognition, wherein the item recognition is used to select or adjust the washing operation or the washing program of the dishwasher. It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved dishwasher which in particular also takes into account changing requirements and/or a changing quantity of dishes to be cleaned. This problem is solved by a dishwasher according to claim 1. Claims 2 to 16 relate to particularly advantageous embodiments of the dishwasher according to claim 1. A dishwasher according to the invention, in particular a commercial dishwasher, comprises a wash chamber and/or one or more treatment zones for the items to be washed. The dishwasher includes a control device that controls the washing operation of the dishwasher. The control device is designed to store, buffer, and/or retrieve climate data, weather data, and/or weather forecast data. The control device is further designed to control the dishwasher at least partially based on this climate data, weather data, and/or weather forecast data. In particular, the control device selects a treatment program from a plurality of different predefined and/or adjustable treatment programs and/or selects and/or adjusts parameters of a treatment program and/or individual treatment steps. The described design can therefore enable adaptive control of the dishwashing process depending on climate data, weather data, or weather forecast data. This is based on the inventors' understanding that in certain applications for dishwashers, especially commercial dishwashers, for example in restaurants or bars of a specific category (such as ice cream parlors, beer gardens, ski resorts, etc.), the weather has a significant influence on the occupancy of the respective establishments or restaurants and thus also on the amount of dishes washed and therefore on the utilization of the dishwasher. The inventors compared historical data on the amount of dishes washed by their own dishwashers with historical weather data and statistically identified a clear correlation between the weather and the amount of dishes washed by these dishwashers. They found that individual businesses and specific weather conditions exhibited significant variations in the amount of dishes washed compared to other weather conditions. This applies not only to situations where, for example, a dishwasher is used in an ice cream parlor or beer garden, where the amount of dishes washed increases in better weather and decreases in snow or rain, but rather the inventors found that in many cases and across a wide range of applications, including restaurants, hotels, cafes, and large events, a weather-dependent variation in the amount of dishes washed is indeed evident. The amount of dishes to be washed, or the expected amount, has a significant influence on the desired dishwasher settings. For example, if a high volume of dishes is expected, it is preferable to select a wash program that allows for a short cycle time and thus quick cleaning, even if this involves higher energy or resource consumption, to ensure that there is always enough clean dishware available. Conversely, if a low volume of dishes is expected, it is preferable to select a wash program that uses resources such as energy, water, and/or detergent/chemicals as sparingly as possible, even if this results in a longer wash cycle. With a dishwasher according to the present invention, climate data and/or weather data and/or weather forecast data can therefore be taken into account when controlling the dishwasher, in particular when selecting special treatment programs, which enables more effect
