Description

Technical field The present utility model relates to the technical field of the locking device, in particular a protective cord and a locking device with the protective cord. State of the art Commercially available chain or cable locks expose both the chain and the steel cable, making them susceptible to corrosion and forced entry. Therefore, a protective cord is necessary to shield the chain or steel cable. Furthermore, on November 25, 2025, the applicant filed a patent application, patent number 2025224991921, entitled "Locking device with a simple structure and a light locking mechanism." In this lock, the locking pin lacks a limiting structure in the insertion direction of the movable head. Consequently, as the head rotates, the locking pin moves to the side. This movement causes friction between the locking pin and the inner wall of the lock body, potentially leading to jamming. Such jamming prevents the locking pin from returning to its initial position. Furthermore, contact between the inner wall of the locking pin of the locking device and the rotating part is established via the flat surface of the inner wall of the locking pin and the outer edge of the rotating part. During operation, we observed that when the key is turned, the furthest point of the rotating part tends to press against the locking pin, causing it to jam. As a result, the key cannot return to its starting position, and the locking pin cannot engage. Content of the utility model To solve the technical problems raised in the prior art, the present utility model primarily provides a protective cord for protecting chains or steel cables.
