Claims (9)

  1. A document reading device (2010) comprising: a placement portion (2030) configured such that a document can be placed thereon; a transport unit (2056) configured to transport the document along a transport path (2056a); an image capturing member (2020) configured to capture an image of the document placed on the placement portion (2030); and a loading portion (2040) is disposed below the placement portion (2030); and a reading member (2050) that reads the document that is placed on a loading portion (2040) while a transport unit is transporting the document; wherein the transport unit (2056) is configured to transport the document that is placed on the loading portion (2040) via an opening that is adjacent to the loading portion (2040) in a direction that intersects a vertical direction; wherein the placement portion (2030) is constituted by a plurality of placement members forming a plurality of surfaces (2030a), wherein a boundary line is formed by a gap between the plurality of surfaces (2030a) of the plurality of placement members, wherein the placement portion (2030) is disposed below the image capturing member (2020), the document reading device (2010) being characterized in that the boundary line is covered by the document when the document has a maximum size that the image capturing member (2020) is capable of imaging and when the document is placed on the placement portion (2030); one placement member of the plurality of placement members (2052) is a covering that covers an upper surface of the reading member (2050); and another placement member of the plurality of placement members (2032) is capable of moving in a first direction with respect to the reading member (2050) and uncovering an upper surface of the loading portion (2040) such that the document having the maximum size is loaded across the loading portion (2040) and the another placement member (2032).
  2. The document reading device (2010) according to Claim 1, wherein the boundary line is located at a position covered by the document having the maximum size at least within a capturing range of the image capturing member (2020).
  3. The document reading device (2010) according to any one of Claim 1 to Claim 2, wherein the placement portion (2030) has a mark for defining a position to place the document, and wherein the boundary line is formed at a position away from the mark along the placement surface (2030a) of the placement portion (2030) on which the document is placed.
  4. The document reading device (2010) according to any one of Claim 1 to Claim 3, wherein the placement portion (2030) is constituted by two placement members (2032, 2052), and wherein the boundary line is between the two placement members (2032, 2052).
  5. The document reading device (2010) according to Claim 1, wherein the other member moves with respect to the reading member (2050) by sliding in the first direction.
  6. The document reading device (2010) according to Claim 1 or Claim 5, wherein a length of the covering of the reading member (2050) in the first direction is less than half of a length of a placement surface (2030a) of the placement portion (2030) on which the document is placed in the first direction.
  7. The document reading device (2010) according to claim 1, wherein the boundary line is located on a central portion when the number of the plurality of surfaces (2030a) is three.
  8. An image forming apparatus (2100) comprising: the document reading device (2010) according to any one of Claim 1 to Claim 7; a formation member (2130) that forms a copy image of a document that is read by the document reading member (2010); and a container unit (2120) that supplies media having different sizes that are contained to the formation member (2130), wherein the boundary line is formed at a position at which the boundary line is covered by the document when a document having a size equal to a maximum size of media that are containable in the container unit (2120) among the media having the different sizes is placed on the placement portion (2030).
  9. The image forming apparatus (2100) according to Claim 8, further comprising: a display unit (2102) that is disposed between the image capturing member (2020) and the placement portion (2030) and that displays information about the apparatus in an intersecting direction that intersects a vertical direction and a direction that intersects the vertical direction, wherein a part of the plurality of surfaces is movable in the intersecting direction.

Description

Background (i) Technical Field The present disclosure relates to a document reading device and an image forming apparatus. (ii) Related Art Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2021-68980 discloses an image reading device that includes a document placing table that includes an image reader and an auto document feeder that is rotatably supported by the document placing table such that the auto document feeder is rotatable between a closed position at which the auto document feeder covers an upper surface of the document placing table and an opened position at which the auto document feeder uncovers the upper surface of the document placing table. The auto document feeder includes a first tray that is a document tray that supports a document sheet before reading or a document discharge tray that supports the document sheet after reading, a second tray that is disposed below the first tray with a space interposed therebetween and that is the other tray of the document tray or the document discharge tray, a conveyer that conveys the document sheet from the document tray to the document discharge tray, a front wall that is secured to a front side of the first tray and that has a cutout part for opening a front part of the space in a width direction perpendicular to a front-rear direction and an up-down direction, and a hand grip that is located on an upper periphery of the cutout part of the front wall and that is used when the auto document feeder is lifted from the closed position toward the opened position. JP 2017 175594 A discloses an image reading device including a placement stage on which a reading medium is placed; a reading part for optically reading the reading medium that is placed on the placement stage from below through the placement stage; a pressing member being rotatable to suppress the reading medium placed on the placement stage, on the placement stage; an imaging part for imaging, from above, the reading medium placed on an upper surface of the pressing member being in a closed state; and a post part to which the imaging part is fixed. EP 1 793 579 A2 discloses an image forming device including a document table for placing a subject, an image acquiring unit fixed at a position above the document table; a display unit for displaying acquired image data; an image forming unit for forming an image of the acquired image data in an image forming medium; and a control unit. The control unit controls the image acquiring unit to acquire image data of the subject, processes the acquired image data to cause the display unit to display the same, and processes the acquired image data to cause the image forming unit to perform an image forming operation. Summary A document reading device that reads a document, an image of which is captured by an image capturing member that captures the image of the document, from above a placement portion on which the document is placed, precision with which the document is read is low if there is a gap line that is a line in a gap between members within the capturing range of the image capturing member and outside the placed document. The present invention is provided in the appended claims. The following disclosure serves a better understanding of the present invention. It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a document reading device that reads a document, an image of which is captured by an image capturing member that captures the image of the document, from above a placement portion on which the document is placed and that improves precision with which the document is read, unlike the case where there is a gap line that is a line in a gap between members within the capturing range of the image capturing member and outside the placed document. According to a first aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a document reading device including: an image capturing member that captures an image of a document; a placement portion that is disposed below the image capturing member and that has a boundary line between a plurality of surfaces at a position at which the boundary line is covered by the document when the document has a maximum size that the image capturing member is capable of imaging and the document is placed on the placement portion; and a document reading member that reads the document that is placed on the placement portion. According to a second aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided the document reading device according to the first aspect in which the boundary line is not located at a position at which the boundary line is not covered by the document having the maximum size at least within a capturing range of the image capturing member.
