Description

The invention relates to a kitchen box for camping and leisure activities for storing kitchen utensils and preparing food. The kitchen box comprises a lid and a box-shaped base with a bottom, two side walls, a back wall, a front wall, and an opening opposite the bottom, wherein the lid is pivotally attached to the back wall by at least one lid hinge about a pivot axis running parallel to the bottom and closes the kitchen box in a rest position. One such kitchen box is made, for example, from the DE 20 2022 100 642 U1 The kitchen box is known. It allows kitchen utensils such as a gas stove, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery, or even spices to be stored, securely closed, and transported in a small space. In this previously known kitchen box, the lid is completely detachable from the main body. A multiplex panel is also attached to the outside of the lid, which, when the lid is removed, serves as a tabletop surface, with the lid then resting on a separate support frame. EP 3 701 834 A1 reveals a modular, portable and convertible outdoor cooking kitchen arrangement that includes a portable kitchen set. The invention is based on the objective of providing a kitchen box of the aforementioned type, the functionality of which is further increased. The problem is solved according to the invention by a kitchen box according to claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in dependent claims 2-9. The kitchen box according to the invention has at least one table leg with a foot end and an opposing contact end equipped with a permanent magnet. In a first working position of the kitchen box, in which the lid is opened 180° around the pivot axis relative to its rest position, the permanent magnet, together with a counter magnet of the kitchen box positioned on the inside of the lid, secures the table leg with its contact end on the outside of the lid. In this first working position of the kitchen box, the inside of the lid functions as a tabletop. This is held on one side by the at least one lid hinge and on the other side supported against the floor by the at least one table leg. This design eliminates the need for a separate table frame to support the tabletop. The base itself supports the tabletop and, through its own weight, simultaneously prevents lateral movement of the tabletop. Therefore, the at least one table leg is sufficient to fully support the tabletop and provide a sufficiently stable table. The at least one table leg is stored inside the kitchen box when the lid is in its rest position. It is preferably designed as a length-adjustable telescopic table leg. By using the inside of the lid as the tabletop instead of the outside, the Furthermore, the tabletop is protected from dirt and other external influences when the lid is in its resting position during transport of the kitchen box. In its initial working position, the table leg rests with one end on a surface. The end of the table leg opposite this foot end has a flat contact surface and is equipped with a permanent magnet. To move the lid into its initial working position, the lid is rotated 180° outwards from its resting position, and the table leg is positioned with its contact end against the outside of the lid. A counter-magnet is positioned on the inside of the lid directly above the permanent magnet, i.e., in an imaginary extension of the table leg. The permanent magnet and the counter-magnet attract each other, thereby fixing the table leg to the lid located between the permanent magnet and the counter-magnet. In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the kitchen box has a support element that is fixed to the rear wall and pivotable about a pivot axis perpendicular to the pivot axis of the lid hinge from a rest position to a support position. In its rest position, the support element does not impede the pivoting movement of the lid, and in the support position, it prevents the lid from pivoting beyond an opening angle of more than 115°, particularly more than 110° and especially preferably more than 105°, thus supporting the lid in a second working position. This design allows for flexible pivoting of the lid while simultaneously preventing it from opening beyond the hinge. Swiveling movement beyond the predetermined opening angle. This allows the lid to perform a variety of other functions while remaining firmly connected to the base of the kitchen box via the lid hinge. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support element is in its rest position in the first working position of the kitchen box and in its support position in a second working position, in which the lid is open for free access to the kitchen box but is not supported against a surface on which the kitchen box stands by means of at least one table leg. In both its second working position and the support position of the support element, the lid rests on the support element. Thus, in this advantageous embodiment of the invention, the lid ca
