Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of analyzing intravascular ultrasound images of a blood vessel, the method comprising: receiving, by a processor, one or more intravascular ultrasound images of a blood vessel; segmenting, with the processor, the one or more ultrasound images to identify a lumen border and a media border; computing, from the identified lumen border and media border, data representing vessel-wall tissue between a lumen and a media of the blood vessel; determining, by the processor, at least one quantitative indication based on said data; and displaying, on a display device, the representative image of a cross-section of the blood vessel together with said at least one quantitative indication.
