PLUG AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PLUG

Abstract

A plug (100) includes a terminal member (10) having a connecting section (12) connected to an inner conductor (86) of a coaxial cable (85), an insulating holder (20) externally fitted to the terminal member (10), a conductive shell (30) externally fitted to the holder (20), and a conductive grounding member (40) disposed between the shell (30) and the holder (20). The shell (30) includes a cylindrical inner surface (32d) and a protrusion (32e) protruding from part of the cylindrical inner surface (32d). The grounding member (40) includes a pair of circular arc-shaped supports (42) connected to the shell (30) and a contact (44) supported by the pair of supports (42). The pair of supports (42) include a recess (42a) formed in a different place from where the contact (44) is disposed. The grounding member (40) is fixed to the shell (30) by the protrusion (32e) fitting into the recess (42a).
