BAKING TRAY

Abstract

The invention relates to a baking tray for industrially operated baking plants comprising a frame and an inlay, wherein the baking tray is designed to be flat and the inlay is formed from a perforated sheet of aluminium or an aluminium alloy with a thickness of no more than 1.3 mm, in particular no more than 1.15 mm, or from expanded metal made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy, or from a tensioned grid. and the frame is formed from a rectangular hollow profile made of steel or a high-temperature plastic, having two broad side walls and two narrow side walls, the broad side walls being wider than the narrow side walls, and the narrow side walls being arranged approximately parallel to the inlay and the broad side walls approximately perpendicular to the inlay. Such a baking tray is very light compared to conventional baking trays and therefore has a low heat capacity. This significantly reduces energy consumption in industrial baking lines.
