Description
COMPOSITION FOR CONDITIONING THE HAIR TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a composition for conditioning the hair. The present invention also relates to a process for conditioning the hair. BACKGROUND ART The hair is generally damaged and weakened by the action of external atmospheric agents such as light, weather, and/or the action of mechanical or chemical treatments such as brushing, combing, dyeing, bleaching, permanent and/or straightening. There are many products developed for conditioning the hair. Current hair oil market is dominated by oil contains silicones. However, many consumers favor silicone-free hair oil products, thus silicone-free oil products are growing worldwide. Therefore, it is desired to develop Si-free oil products for conditioning the hair, which can provide similar conditioning effect with silicone-based oil products and do not deliver greasy sensory. It is also desired that the products are stable. In addition, the formulation of environmentally-friendly cosmetic products, which are designed and developed considering environmental issues, is becoming a major goal in an effort to meet global challenges. It is therefore essential to propose more sustainable compositions to address these environmental concerns. In this context, it is important to develop new cosmetic compositions with a better carbon footprint, particularly by promoting the use of renewable raw materials and/or materials with a good index of naturalness and/or materials of natural origin and, more particularly, materials of plant origin while reducing the use of compounds of petrochemical origin. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is thus to develop stable Si-free oil products for conditioning the hair, which can provide similar or better conditioning effect with silicone-based oil products and do not deliver greasy sensory while being environmentally-friendly. Another object of the present invention is to provide a process for conditioning the hair. Thus, according to a first aspect, the present invention provides an oil composition for conditioning the hair comprising: a)at least one unsaturated fatty alcohol comprising a C12-C20 carbon chain; b)at least one volatile alkane; and c)at least one fatty acid ester oil, wherein the composition comprises no silicone. According to a second aspect, the present invention provides a process for conditioning the hair comprising applying the composition as described above onto the hair. The inventors have now found that with the combination of at least one unsaturated fatty alcohol comprising a C12-C20 carbon chain, at least one volatile alkane, and at least one fatty acid ester, the composition of the present invention is stable and can provide the hair conditioning effect and lightness sensory. Here the term of lightness sensory means not greasy sensory. Other subjects and characteristics, aspects and advantages of the present invention will emerge even more clearly on reading the detailed description and the examples that follow.
