Description

Ski fastening device Background of the invention The invention relates to fastening of a pair of skis and ski poles to each other for transport and storage. Brief description of the invention The object of the invention is a device, by means of which, a pair of skis and ski poles can be fastened to each other easily and sturdily and, on the other hand, such that the device does not disturb the use of the ski poles during their proper use, that is, when skiing. The object of the invention is achieved by a system which is characterized by what is disclosed in the independent claims. Preferred embodiments of the invention are disclosed in the dependent claims. Brief description of the drawings The invention will now be described in more detail in connection with preferred embodiments and with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figures 1 and 2 show a ski fastening device that is positionable to a ski pole; Figure 3 shows a top view of a ski fastening device that is positionable to a ski pole from the direction of the ski’s upper surface; Figure 4 shows a pair of skis and ski poles fastened to each other by a ski fastening device; Figure 5 shows a part of a ski pole that comprises a ski fastening device; Figure 6 shows a ski pole comprising a ski fastening device; Figure 7 shows a part of a ski pole comprising a ski fastening device; Figure 8 shows a ski pole comprising a ski fastening device; Figure 9 shows a part of a ski pole comprising a ski fastening device; Figure 10 shows a cross section of a ski pole comprising a ski fastening device. Detailed description of the invention Figures 1 and 2 show a ski fastening device 10 according to the invention, which comprises an open tube 11, wherein an arc C of a longitudinal open section of the tube comprises about 20-45% of the circumference of the tube and wherein a surface of the open tube 11 directed outwards includes a first fastening pin 13 and a second fastening pin 14, and wherein the first fastening pin 13 and the second fastening pin 14 are at a distance from each other, and wherein the second fastening pin 14 comprises an opening 15. The open tube 11 is open longitudinally such that an open width B is smaller than a diameter A of an inner side 12, whereby the ski fastening device 10 is positionable around the shaft of the ski pole by pressing. The ski fastening device 10 is manufactured of e.g. plastic which yields when pressing the ski fastening device 10 against the shaft of a ski pole 22 and sets around the shaft the of ski pole 22. The open width B is typically about a half of the diameter A of the inner side 12. In Figure 3, the ski fastening device 10 is positioned on top of the ski pole 22 and the ski fastening device 10 and the ski pole 22 are positioned together on top of a ski 21. In Figure 3, the ski pole and the ski are shown of their partial length. In Figure 3, an elastic band 23 is threaded into a hitch of the clove hitch type via the opening 15 of the fastening pin 14. In this way, the elastic band 23 is kept along the ski fastening device 10 without a separate safety when the ski poles and the ski pair is being fastened to each other or unfastened from each other. When the ski pole 22 is in its proper use e.g. when skiing, the elastic band 23 can be positioned fast to the first and second fastening pin 13, 14 such that the elastic band 23 does not hinder the use of the ski pole 22. According to an embodiment of the invention, the inner surface 12 of the open tube 11 includes a fastening means 18 as Figure 2 shows. The fastening means 18 is able to keep the ski fastening device 10 in place on top of the ski pole 22 without the ski fastening device 10 sliding in the longitudinal direction of the ski pole 22 or without rotating around the ski pole 22 after the ski fastening device 10 is positioned on top of the ski pole 22. The fastening means 18 can be e.g. an adhesive surface or a narrowing which is dimensioned to press the ski pole 22 against edges 16, 17 of the open tube. The inner diameter of the open tube 11 can also be dimensioned smaller than the majority of ski poles, that is, below 15 mm, that are about 15 mm of their outer diameter. In this case, the open tube 11 tightens the ski fastening device 10 against the ski pole 22. With reference to Figure 4, a pair of skis 21, 24 is fastened to each other their bases facing each other and ski poles 22, 25 beside or on top of the pair of skis 21, 24 such that a first ends of the elastic band 23 or equivalent band forming a closed loop is positioned around one of the first or second fastening pin and the elastic band is threaded around the skis such that the skis 21, 24 and the ski poles 22, 25 set sturdily against each other, and a second end of the elastic band loop is positioned in one of the first and second fastening pin 13, 14. When the elastic band 23 is fastened to the second fastening pin 14 by said hitch of the clove hitch type, the elastic band 23 can be kept f
