Abstract

The invention relates to a method for installing a functional fitting (10, 10'), which is made of at least two parts, on a piece of furniture (1) comprising a movable furniture part (3, 3'), having the following steps: releasably fixing at least one part (11, 12; 11´, 12´; 111) for accelerating, braking, stopping, and/or holding the movable furniture part (3, 3') to an installation aid (30, 40, 50); positioning the unit consisting of the installation aid (30, 40, 50) and the at least one part (11, 12; 11´, 12´; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') on the piece of furniture (1) comprising the movable furniture part (3, 3'), wherein at least one contact surface of the installation aid (30, 40, 50) rests against the piece of furniture (1) comprising the movable furniture part (3, 3'); securing the at least one part (11, 12; 11´, 12´; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') on the piece of furniture (1) comprising the movable furniture part (3, 3') via securing means, and removing the installation aid (30, 40, 50). The invention additionally relates to an assembly kit for carrying out the method.

  1. 1. Method for mounting a functional fitting (10, 10') formed from at least two parts on a piece of furniture (1) with a movable furniture part (3, 3'), comprising the following steps: - releasably fixing at least one part (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) for accelerating, braking, stopping and/or holding the movable furniture part (3, 3') to an assembly aid (30, 40, 50); - positioning the unit comprising the assembly aid (30, 40, 50) and the at least one part (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') on the piece of furniture (1) with the movable furniture part (3, 3'), wherein at least one contact surface of the assembly aid (30, 40, 50) rests on the piece of furniture (1) with the movable furniture part (3, 3'); - fixing the at least one part (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') to the furniture (1) with the movable furniture part (3, 3') via fastening means, and - Remove the assembly aid (30, 40, 50).
  2. 2. Method according to claim 1, characterized in that the at least one part (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') is releasably fixed to the assembly aid (30, 40, 50) in a clamping or locking manner.

Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the assembly aid (30, 40) has a receptacle into which a first part (11, 11'; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') fixed to the furniture (1) with the movable furniture part (3, 3') is inserted in order to position the assembly aid (30, 40, 50).
  4. 4. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least two parts (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') are fixed to the assembly aid (30, 40, 50) for assembly.
  5. 5. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the functional fitting (10, 10') has an activator which cooperates with a device for accelerating, braking, stopping and/or holding the movable furniture part (3, 3').
  6. 6. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the movable furniture part (3, 3') is designed as a sliding element and the functional fitting (10, 10') is fixed between a furniture body (2) and the sliding element.
  7. 7. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fixing of the functional fitting (10) takes place through an opening on a rear side of a furniture body (2).
  8. 8. Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the assembly aid (50) comprises a housing (51) with an integrally formed locking cam (37) or locking web (57), on which at least one part (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) of the functional fitting (10, 10') is held.
  9. 9. Kit with at least one part (11, 12; 11', 12'; 111) of a functional fitting (10, 10') for accelerating, braking, stopping and/or holding a movable furniture part (3, 3') and an assembly aid (30, 40, 50) for carrying out the method according to one of the preceding claims.
  10. 10. Kit according to claim 9, characterized in that the kit comprises a fitting for guiding or holding a movable furniture part (3, 3').
  11. 11. Kit according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that the functional fitting (10') is designed as a locking device which holds the movable furniture part (3') in a closed position with a driver.

Description

Method for assembling a functional fitting and kit The present invention relates to a method for mounting a functional fitting on a piece of furniture with a movable furniture part and a kit for carrying out the method. DE 10 2020 114 808 A1 discloses an opening and/or closing device for furniture that can accelerate, brake and/or hold a movable furniture part held on a furniture body. In many cases, the movable furniture part is already positioned and aligned on the furniture body. Therefore, if the opening and/or closing device is subsequently mounted, the position of an activator of the opening and/or closing device can be adjusted using an adjustment mechanism of an activator carrier. This allows tolerances to be compensated during assembly, but this means a comparatively high amount of effort after assembly due to the adjustment. In addition, assembly tools are known, for example from DE 10 2017 110 329 A1, for precisely positioning guide rails on plate-shaped furniture parts. Although these assembly tools can make it easier to assemble the furniture, they are not suitable for subsequently installing an opening and/or closing device. It is therefore the object of the present invention to create a method for mounting a functional fitting on a piece of furniture with a movable furniture part, which simplifies assembly. In addition, a kit for such a method is to be provided. This object is achieved by a method having the features of claim 1 and a kit having the features of claim 9. In the method according to the invention for mounting a functional fitting made up of at least two parts on a piece of furniture with a movable furniture part, at least one part of a functional fitting for accelerating, braking, stopping and/or holding the movable furniture part is releasably fixed to an assembly aid. The unit comprising the assembly aid and the at least one part of the functional fitting is then mounted on the piece of furniture with the movable furniture part or a second part of a functional fitting which is already fixed to the furniture, with at least one contact surface of the assembly aid resting on the furniture with the movable furniture part. The contact surface is used to align the furniture, in order to then fix at least one part of the functional fitting to the furniture with the movable furniture part using fastening means, for example screws, rivets, but also by gluing or other fastening methods used in furniture construction. Once at least one part of the functional fitting has been fixed, the assembly aid can be removed and used again for another assembly process. The functional fitting has already been aligned in a desired position by the assembly tool. The method according to the invention has the advantage that, in the case of furniture with a movable furniture part, a functional fitting can also be installed subsequently in a precisely positioned manner, i.e. without having to change the position of the movable furniture part. The functional fitting is installed by aligning it with the furniture with the movable furniture part, using the assembly aid for this purpose, which releasably fixes at least part of the functional fitting. This eliminates the need to provide an adjustment mechanism on the functional fitting and to carry out a complex adjustment process after the functional fitting has been installed, since the alignment and positioning already take place during assembly. A functional fitting is considered to be a device by means of which the movable furniture part is accelerated, braked, stopped and/or held, for example as a self-closing device, stop, holding device, ejection device, retraction device or locking device, wherein the functional fitting preferably comprises several parts that can be moved relative to one another and one part is fixed to the movable furniture part and at least one further part is fixed to a furniture body. For effective assembly, at least one part of the functional fitting can be releasably fixed to the assembly aid by clamping or locking, so that at least one part of the functional fitting is easily fixed to the assembly aid during assembly. For this purpose, the assembly aid can have a receptacle into which at least one part of the functional fitting is inserted before the assembly aid is positioned on the furniture with the movable furniture part. In addition, the assembly aid can have a housing with a comprise an integrally formed locking cam or locking web on which at least part of the functional fitting is held or secured.
