EP-4736489-A1 - SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING HEALTH OF A CELL SITE USING A MOBILE APPLICATION
Abstract
The present disclosure provides system (102) and method (300) for evaluating cellular sites through a mobile application The system (102) employs one or more processors to initiate a sequence of performance tests, such as speed, video quality, web performance, and traceroute tests. A data acquisition module determines the match between site location identifiers, such as NCI, Cell ID, and PCI, and the device-measured identifiers. A global positioning system (GPS) module ensures the testing device's proximity to the cellular site. Test results are compared against predefined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for latency, download, and upload speeds by a verification module. The processors then ascertain if the tests satisfy the KPIs. An interface within the application allows for the re-performance of tests if KPIs are not met and displays the overall pass or fail status of the cellular site, streamlining the site assessment process for field engineers.
