Description

The present invention relates to a device that facilitates the handling of an elevator machine (motor), either in new installations or when replacing old machines in existing installations. This device allows for the rapid and safe placement of the new machine, offering significant advantages in the overall process. Installing an elevator machine is usually a demanding procedure, as machines may weigh from 150 kg to considerably more, depending on the size and type of the elevator. Traditionally, this process requires the use of hooks, wire ropes, and other components to suspend and transport the machine to its final position. Placement must be precise in order to ensure proper connection with the rest of the installation and thus the uninterrupted operation and safety of the elevator. This process requires physical strain from installers and time, especially when the machine has to be transported to the upper floor of the building. In the case of replacing an old machine, the process first involves removing the old one and then installing the new one in a similar way. The present invention tries to simplify and improve the process of transporting and placing the machine, even when it must be installed at the upper level of the shaft. A particular feature of the device is its adjustable diameter, which allows adaptation to various sizes of wire ropes depending on the requirements of each installation. A key advantage of the invention is that it ensures safe placement of the machine without endangering the health of installers, while at the same time reducing the time required to complete the installation. In addition, the device is fully assembled and disassembled, facilitating its transport and reducing its volume when not in use. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES The invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which it is illustrated in an indicative, non-limiting manner. In Figure 1 is presented the invention attached to a machine, as required for suspending and placing the machine in the shaft. In Figure 2 is showed the entire invention, isolated.Figures 3 (a) - (c) present the individual parts of the invention, specifically, Figures 3(a) and 3(b) show the central wire rope clamping element in two different views, while Figure 3(c) shows the plate on which the remaining parts are assembled. In Figure 4 is shown one of the two small plates of the central wire rope clamping element.Figures 5 (a) - (b) present the invention in use, showing the wire rope passing through the holes, specifically Figure 5(a) shows the device with the wire rope, while Figure 5(b) is a sectional view for a more detailed depiction of the rope's position. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Referring now to the accompanying drawings, we will describe indicative applications of the device for suspending an elevator machine during installation, as well as its method of application. The present elevator machine suspension device (1), Fig. 1, consists of a plate (2), a central wire rope clamping element (3) with the necessary screws (4), and two rings (5a) and (5b) for holding the machine (1), Fig. 2. More specifically, as seen in Figs. 3(a) - (c), the invention can be divided into two parts, the central wire rope clamping element (3), consisting of two identical clamping plates (3a) and (3b), Fig. 3b, and the central plate (2), Fig. 3c. The central plate (2) has four T-shaped holes (6), into which the two small plates (3a) and (3b) of the central clamping element (3) are inserted for securing the wire rope (13), Fig. 5b, two circular holes (7) through which the wire rope (13) passes, and two other circular holes at each end of the central plate (2), through which rings (5a) and (5b) pass, secured with pins (8). As shown in Fig. 4, each small clamping plate (3a), (3b) has a special configuration as follows: at the bottom there are two legs, with lateral projections (9) at their lower points, and a top projection (10) slightly higher, only on the outer side, Fig. 3a. The lower projections (9) enter the wide part of the T-shaped hole (6), and then the small plate (3a), (3b) is pushed inward towards the narrow part of the T-shaped hole (6), while the top projection (10) ensures that the plate (3a), (3b) does not slide downwards, Fig. 5a. After both plates (3a) and (3b) are placed this way, screws (4) are inserted into the four holes (11) of the small plates (3a), (3b). In this way, the small plates (3a), (3b) come together and can be tightened as needed. Along the length of the plates (3a), (3b) there is a groove (12) through which the wire rope (13) passes. Depending on the diameter of the wire rope (13), we can tighten or loosen the screws (4), and thus the plates (3a), (3b) of the central wire rope holding element (3) will be respectively compressed or released. The application of the invention is better understood with reference to Figures 5a - 5b. The wire rope (13), whic
