Description
The present invention relates to a deep freezer having a door wherein the foodstuffs to be cooled are placed. The deep freezer, also known as the chest type, comprises a single freezer compartment disposed in a body, the upper part of which is closed with a door. A compressor and a condenser are disposed in the machine compartment, at the lower part of the deep freezer body, known as the body base region, which is insulated from the freezer compartment and an evaporator is disposed behind the evaporator cover situated in the freezer compartment. Cooling of the foodstuffs placed into the freezer compartment is performed by forced convection by means of a fan disposed on the evaporator. Since the freezer compartment volume is generally of a monolithic structure, the foodstuffs to be cooled must be stacked in an orderly manner, which creates usage difficulties for users in the course of time. Although some stacking devices have been developed for this reason, the freezer compartment volume remains insufficient for users, and additional cooling volumes are needed. In the state of the art German Patent Application No. DE102013004976, a deep freezer is disclosed, comprising compartments which are attached to the freezer door. In the state of the art United States Patent Application No. US2950157A, a deep freezer is disclosed, comprising a foldable shelf system which can be attached to the freezer door. The aim of the present invention is the realization of a deep freezer which enables the foodstuffs to be cooled in the door. The deep freezer realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a freezer compartment which is disposed in the body and wherein the foodstuffs are placed; an opening which provides access into the freezer compartment; a door which is suitable to be moved between a closed position where the door covers the opening and prevents access into the freezer compartment and an open position where the door provides access into the freezer compartment; an evaporator which is disposed in the body and which is configured to cool the freezer compartment; a compressor which is configured to compress the refrigerant fluid; a condenser which is configured to condense the refrigerant fluid; a drawer which is removably placed in a volume arranged on the door; at least one air duct which is provided on the door and which is configured to fluidly connect the freezer compartment and the volume; a fan which is disposed in the body and which is configured to deliver the cold air in the freezer compartment into the volume; and a discharge port which is provided on the door and which is configured to return the air delivered into the volume back into the freezer compartment. Thus, a volume is formed on the door which enables the cooling of the foodstuffs, and the cold air is delivered from the freezer compartment into the volume so as to ensure the cooling of the volume. Thus, the door of the deep freezer is enabled to be used in a more effective manner. In an embodiment of the present invention, the door comprises a temperature sensor which measures the temperature of the volume, a heater which regulates the temperature of the volume, and a control panel which provides the control of the heater is disposed on the body. Thus, the volume is used as a freezer or fresh food compartment depending on the user's preference. The heater also prevents problems such as condensation, icing, and frosting caused by the temperature difference between the freezer compartment and the volume. In an embodiment of the present invention, the heater is disposed on the surface of the volume facing the base of the drawer, and an insulation member is arranged on the door so as to substantially cover the opening. Thus, the volume is enabled to be heated more effectively and the freezer compartment is prevented from being affected by the temperature of the heater. In an embodiment of the present invention, two drawers are positioned side by side in the volume, and the air duct supplies the air to both drawers. Thus, the volume formed on the door is used more effectively, and both drawers are cooled simultaneously. Consequently, it is ensured that the cold air delivered into the volume is better circulated so as to provide balanced cooling. In an embodiment of the present invention, the air duct is arranged so as to remain in a gap provided between the drawers. Thus, the air duct occupies less space and the drawer volume becomes larger. In an embodiment of the present invention, the air duct is almost Y-shaped. Thus, the cold air in the freezer compartment is taken from a single point and simultaneously delivered to the drawers. Consequently, the cold air delivered to the drawers is enabled to be at the same temperature and is distributed homogeneously to the drawers. In an embodiment of the present invention, the fan is positioned on the surface o
