Abstract
A display apparatus for a vehicle is disclosed. A display apparatus for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a picture generation device including a light output device and configured to output a projection image; an optical path separator configured to reflect a first projection image corresponding to a portion of the projection image from the picture generation device; a screen including one surface on which the first projection image from the optical path separator is projected; and a focus changer disposed between the picture generation device and the optical path separator or between the optical path separator and the screen, and configured to change a focus of the first projection image. Accordingly, it is possible to change the focus of the projection image projected on the screen while implementing a plurality of displays.

Claims (16)
- A display apparatus for a vehicle, the display apparatus comprising: a picture generation device including a light output device and configured to output a projection image; an optical path separator configured to reflect a first projection image corresponding to a portion of the projection image from the picture generation device; a screen including one surface on which the first projection image from the optical path separator is projected; and a focus changer disposed between the picture generation device and the optical path separator or between the optical path separator and the screen, and configured to change a focus of the first projection image.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, wherein the focus changer includes at least one of a concave lens or a convex lens.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a signal processing device configured to control the focus changer, wherein the focus changer includes a liquid lens of which focus is changed in response to an electrical signal.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a diffuser disposed between the picture generation device and a windshield, and configured to diffuse a second projection image corresponding to another portion of the projection image.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising: a diffuser disposed between the picture generation device and a windshield, and configured to diffuse a second projection image corresponding to another portion of the projection image; and a second focus changer disposed between the picture generation device and the diffuser, and configured to change a focus of the second projection image.
- The display apparatus of claim 5, wherein the second focus changer includes at least one of a concave lens or a convex lens.
- The display apparatus of claim 5, further comprising a signal processing device configured to control the second focus changer, wherein the second focus changer includes a liquid lens of which focus is changed in response to an electrical signal.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, wherein, when a distance between the picture generation device and the focus changer is a first distance, a distance between the optical path separator and the screen is set to a second distance, and wherein, in response to the distance between the picture generation device and the focus changer being a third distance less than the first distance, the distance between the optical path separator and the screen is set to a fourth distance less than the second distance.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising: a sensor disposed between the optical path separator and the screen, and configured to sense the second projection image; and a signal processing device configured to control the focus changer based on a signal sensed by the sensor.
- The display apparatus of claim 9, further comprising a position changer configured to change a position of the screen based on a control signal of the signal processing device.
- The display apparatus of claim 9, further comprising: a camera disposed inside the vehicle; and a shape changer configured to change a shape of the screen based on a control signal from the signal processing device, the control signal being generated based on a camera image from the camera.
- The display apparatus of claim 3, wherein the signal processing device is configured to: control a focus of the first projection image to be a first distance in a first mode; and control the focus of the first projection image to be a second distance in a second mode.
- The display apparatus of claim 1, wherein the light output device comprises: a light source; and a liquid crystal panel configured to output the first projection image and the second projection image based on light output from the light source.
- A display apparatus for a vehicle, the display apparatus comprising: a picture generation device including a light output device and configured to output a projection image; an optical path separator configured to reflect a first projection image corresponding to a portion of the projection image from the picture generation device; a diffuser disposed between the picture generation device and a windshield, and configured to diffuse a second projection image corresponding to another portion of the projection image; a focus changer disposed between the picture generation device and the diffuser, and configured to change a focus of the second projection image; and a screen including one surface on which the first projection image from the optical path separator is projected.
- The display apparatus of claim 14, wherein the focus changer includes at least one of a concave lens or a convex lens.
- The display apparatus of claim 14, further comprising a signal processing device configured to control the focus changer, wherein the focus changer includes a liquid lens of which focus is changed in response to an electrical signal.
Description
BACKGROUND 1. Field The present disclosure relates to a display apparatus for a vehicle, and more particularly, to a display apparatus for a vehicle capable of varying a focus of a projection image projected onto a screen while implementing a plurality of displays in an integrated manner. 2. Description of the Related Art A vehicle is a machine that allows a user who rides therein to move in a desired direction. A representative example of the vehicle is a car. Meanwhile, for convenience of vehicle users, some vehicles are equipped with a display apparatus or device. For example, a display is positioned on an instrument cluster to present various types of information. In addition to the cluster display, in order to display vehicle driving information or the like, various displays, such as an AVN (Audio Video Navigation) display and a head-up display that outputs a projection image onto a windshield, are increasingly being mounted in vehicles. As various displays are disposed in a vehicle, methods for operating the displays in an integrated manner have been studied. Meanwhile, Japanese Laid-open Patent Publication No. 11-59224 (hereinafter referred to as "Prior Art Document 1"), which is hereby incorporated by reference, discloses a front window display device that adjusts the brightness of a head-up display (HUD) of the window display device based on data of an illuminance sensor. However, in Prior Art Document 1, only the window display device is disclosed, and thus it has a limitation in that integrated operation of various displays is difficult. Meanwhile, U.S. Patent Publication No. US10298890 (hereinafter referred to as "Prior Art Document 2"), which is hereby incorporated by reference, discloses a vehicle display device that projects an image using a cluster display. However, in Prior Art Document 2, only the cluster display is disclosed, and thus it has a limitation in that integrated operation of various displays is difficult. SUMMARY It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a display apparatus for a vehicle capable of varying a focus of a projection image projected onto a screen while implementing a plurality of displays in an integrated manner. It is another object of the present disclosure to provide a display apparatus for a vehicle capable of changing a position or a shape of a screen while implementing a plurality of displays in an integrated manner. In accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure, the above and other objects can be accomplished by providing a display apparatus for a vehicle including: a picture generation device including a light output device and configured to output a projection image; an optical path separator configured to reflect a first projection image corresponding to a portion of the projection image from the picture generation device; a screen including one surface on which the first projection image from the optical path separator is projected; and a focus changer disposed between the picture generation device and the optical path separator or between the optical path separator and the screen, and configured to change a focus of the first projection image. The focus changer can include at least one of a concave lens or a convex lens. The display apparatus can further include a signal processing device configured to control the focus changer. The focus changer can include a liquid lens of which focus is changed in response to an electrical signal. The display apparatus can further include a diffuser disposed between the picture generation device and a windshield, and configured to diffuse a second projection image corresponding to another portion of the projection image. The display apparatus can further include a diffuser disposed between the picture generation device and a windshield, and configured to diffuse a second projection image corresponding to another portion of the projection image; and a second focus changer disposed between the picture generation device and the diffuser and configured to change a focus of the second projection image.
