Claims (11)

  1. A power transmission device comprising: a power transmission means configured to wirelessly transmit power to a power reception device; and an authentication means configured to perform an authentication process using an electronic certificate together with the power reception device, wherein when the authentication has not succeeded, the power transmission means performs power transmission control on the basis of a cause of unsuccess of the authentication.
  2. The power transmission device according to claim 1, wherein when authentication in the authentication means has not succeeded, the power transmission means limits an allowable power value to be transmitted to the power reception device to a value lower than a value when authentication in the authentication means has succeeded or does not transmit power to the power reception device according to a cause of an authentication error.
  3. The power transmission device according to claim 1, further comprising a communication means configured to communicate with the power reception device, wherein when the power reception device does not have an authentication function, the communication means notifies the power reception device of transmitted power information indicating transmittable power based on a power reception capability of the power reception device.
  4. The power transmission device according to claim 3, wherein when the power reception device has a specification that the power reception device receives first power from the power transmission device or a specification that the power reception device does not have an authentication function and receives power greater than the first power and less than or equal to second power from the power transmission device, the communication means notifies the power reception device of information indicating that the transmittable power of the power transmission device is limited power.
  5. The power transmission device according to claim 4, wherein when the authentication means determines that the power reception device has a specification that the power reception device does not have an authentication function and receives power greater than the first power and less than or equal to second power from the power transmission device as a result of authentication performed together with the power reception device, the communication means notifies the power reception device of information indicating that the transmittable power of the power transmission device is a power greater than third power greater than the first power and less than or equal to the second power.
  6. The power transmission device according to claim 1, further comprising a communication means configured to communicate with the power reception device, wherein when the authentication has not succeeded due to a communication error, the communication means notifies the power reception device of transmitted power information indicating transmittable power of the power transmission device.
  7. The power transmission device according to claim 1, further comprising a communication means configured to communicate with the power reception device, wherein when the electronic certificate has been determined to be revoked, the communication means notifies the power reception device of transmitted power information indicating that a transmittable power of the power transmission device is limited power or notifies the power reception device of information indicating that power is not transmitted to the power reception device.
  8. The power transmission device according to claim 1, further comprising a communication means configured to communicate with the power reception device, wherein when the authentication is determined to have not succeeded due to revocation of a serial number of the electronic certificate or revocation based on recall, the communication means notifies the power reception device of information indicating that power is not transmitted to the power reception device.
  9. The power transmission device according to claim 1, further comprising a communication means configured to communicate with the power reception device, wherein when the electronic certificate is determined to have been revoked due to failure of an inspection test, infringement of a secret key, or stolen qualification information, or a manufacturer certificate is determined to have been revoked, the communication means notifies the power reception device of transmitted power information indicating that a transmittable power of the power transmission device is limited power.
  10. A method executed by a power transmission device, the method comprising: a power transmission step of wirelessly transmitting power to a power reception device; and an authentication step of performing an authentication process using an electronic certificate together with the power reception device, wherein when the authentication has not succeeded, the power transmission step includes performing power transmission control on the power reception device on the basis of a cause of unsuccess of the authentication.
  11. A program causing a computer to perform the steps according to claim 10.

Description

[Technical Field] The present disclosure relates to wireless power transfer technology. [Background Art] A standard established by the standardization organization Wireless Power Consortium (hereinafter referred to as a WPC standard) is widely known as a noncontact charging standard. In Patent Document 1, a power transmission device and a power reception device based on the WPC standard are disclosed. In Patent Document 2, an authentication method between a power transmission device and a power reception device in noncontact charging is disclosed. The power transmission device disclosed in Patent Document 2 transmits challenge data to the power reception device. The power reception device transmits response data generated by performing an authentication operation on the challenge data to the power transmission device. The power transmission device executes an authentication protocol through comparison with the response data received from the power reception device. Accordingly, it is possible to perform an authentication process with high security. In Patent Document 3, a wireless power transfer system in which interactive authentication is performed is disclosed. A power transmission device and a power reception device can interactively ascertain the validity of electronic certificates and determine a transmission/reception power value according to the result of ascertainment.
