Description

DESCRIPTION TITLE: Food heating appliance comprising a lid equipped with a prominent gripping portion Technical field The present invention relates generally to an electric cooking appliance for cooking food products. State of the art As is known, an electric cooking appliance comprises: - a housing comprising a cooking tank which delimits a cooking chamber intended to contain food, - a cover mounted to move relative to the housing between an open position in which the cover allows access to the cooking chamber, and a closed position in which the cover prevents access to the cooking chamber, and - a heating device attached to the lid and configured to be located opposite the cooking chamber delimited by the cooking tank when the lid is in the closed position. Such an electric cooking appliance allows food contained in the cooking chamber to be cooked using different cooking modes. However, when moving the lid of such a cooking appliance to the open position, in particular at the end of cooking food, a user is likely to burn themselves by contact with a high-temperature area of the lid, in particular during the final phase of lifting the lid. Indeed, during such a final phase, the grip handle, for example provided on the top of the lid, becomes difficult for a user to access, so much so that the user is tempted to position at least one of their fingers, such as a thumb, against the underside of the lid in order to push the latter until it reaches the open position. However, since the underside of the lid is at a high temperature, since it is located near the heating device attached to the lid, the user is therefore likely to burn themselves. Summary of the invention The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. The technical problem underlying the invention therefore consists in providing a food heating appliance which is of simple and ergonomic structure, whilst allowing easy and safe handling of the lid. For this purpose, the present invention relates to a food heating appliance comprising: - a base provided with a receiving surface, - a bowl which is removable and which is configured to rest on the receiving surface of the base, the bowl comprising a bottom and a side wall which define an internal volume intended to contain food, the side wall of the bowl comprising an upper peripheral edge defining an upper opening through which food can be introduced into the internal volume of the bowl, and - a cover supported by the base and mounted to move relative to the base between a closed position in which the cover is configured to cover the bowl and to prevent access to the internal volume of the bowl when the bowl rests on the receiving surface, and an open position in which the cover is configured to allow access to the internal volume of the bowl when the bowl rests on the receiving surface, the cover comprising an upper heating element configured to heat, for example at least by radiation and more particularly by infrared radiation, a food contained in the bowl. The lid has a protruding gripping portion that is configured to be grasped by a user during movement of the lid between the open position and the closed position, the protruding gripping portion being configured to protrude beyond the side wall of the bowl when the lid occupies the closed position and the bowl rests on the receiving surface, the protruding gripping portion being located at least partly in a front portion of the lid (i.e. a portion of the lid intended to be located facing a user located in front of the food heating appliance) and extending over at least 90° of the periphery of the lid. By protruding beyond the side wall of the bowl, it is meant that the protruding grip portion protrudes horizontally from the side wall of the bowl and projects outward from the food heating appliance. Such a configuration of the food heating appliance according to the invention allows a user, wishing to move the lid to the open position, to be able to firmly grasp the lid by the protruding gripping portion, which is remote from the hot portion of the lid, and thus to then handle the lid safely. The presence of the protruding gripping portion therefore considerably limits the risks of burning the user when handling the lid. Furthermore, such a configuration of the prominent gripping portion allows easy and secure gripping of the lid for both right-handed and left-handed people. The food heating appliance may further have one or more of the following features, taken alone or in combination. According to one embodiment of the invention, in the closed position, the lid does not rest on the upper edge of the side wall of the bowl. In other words, a space is provided between the upper edge of the side wall of the bowl and the lower surface of the lid which comes opposite. Such a feature makes it possible to limit heating of the upper edge of the bowl by avoiding heat transfer by conduction between the lid and the bowl. According to one embodiment
