Description
DESCRIPTION TITLE: Bowl for food heating appliance, and food heating appliance comprising such a bowl Technical field The present invention relates generally to a bowl for a food heating appliance. State of the art A bowl for a food heating appliance, comprises in a known manner: - a bowl body which is metallic, the bowl body being provided with a bottom wall and a peripheral wall which delimit an internal volume intended to contain food, the peripheral wall of the bowl body comprising an upper peripheral edge delimiting an upper opening through which food can be introduced into the internal volume of the bowl body, and - a thermal insulation coating which is made of thermally insulating material, the thermal insulation coating at least partially covering an outer surface of the peripheral wall of the bowl body. Such a configuration of the bowl makes it possible, on the one hand, to optimally cook food contained in the bowl since this food is in contact with the body of the bowl, the temperature of which is relatively high at the end of cooking, and, on the other hand, to limit the risks of burning the user when handling the bowl due to the presence of the thermal insulation coating which is intended to be placed between the user's hand and the body of the bowl. However, when cooking food in such a bowl, the upper peripheral edge of the bowl body has, at the end of cooking, a relatively high temperature. Thus, when handling the bowl, for example for transporting it to a tasting location, a user is likely to burn himself by touching the upper peripheral edge of the bowl body, in particular if the user positions the palm of a hand against the thermal insulation coating while positioning the thumb of such a hand partly against an internal surface of an upper end portion of the peripheral wall of the bowl body. Similarly, when a user consumes food directly from the bowl used for cooking it, he is likely to burn his hand, holding his fork or spoon, by contact with the upper peripheral edge of the bowl body. Summary of the invention The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks. The technical problem underlying the invention therefore consists in providing a bowl for a food heating appliance which allows easy and rapid reheating and/or cooking of food, whilst allowing safe transport of the bowl and safe tasting of the food directly from the bowl. For this purpose, the present invention relates to a bowl for a food heating appliance, comprising: - an internal volume intended to contain food, - an upper peripheral edge delimiting an upper opening through which food can be introduced into the internal volume of the bowl, - a bowl body at least partially delimiting the internal volume of the bowl, the bowl body being metallic and being provided with a bottom wall (and a peripheral wall extending from the bottom wall, and - a thermally insulating layer at least partially covering an outer surface of the peripheral wall of the bowl body. The thermally insulating layer further covers an upper end of the peripheral wall of the bowl body and partly an inner surface of the peripheral wall of the bowl body, and for example partly an inner surface of an upper end portion of the peripheral wall of the bowl body, the thermally insulating layer at least partly delimiting the upper opening of the bowl and at least partly forming the upper peripheral edge of the bowl. Since the upper end of the peripheral wall of the bowl body is covered by the thermally insulating layer, a user is not likely, for example when handling the bowl or when tasting food contained in the bowl, to touch said upper end, which therefore substantially limits the risks of burning the user. Furthermore, the fact that the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the bowl body is partly covered by the thermally insulating layer makes it possible to further limit the risks of burning a user when handling the bowl and when tasting food contained in such a bowl. Thus, the bowl according to the present invention allows easy and rapid cooking of food, while allowing safe transport of the bowl (and this without requiring the presence of gripping handles on the bowl which would have the disadvantage of increasing the manufacturing costs of the bowl and the bulk of the latter, and of making it less easy to taste the food contained in the bowl) and safe tasting of food directly from the bowl used for cooking it. The bowl may further have one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination. According to one embodiment of the invention, the thermally insulating layer is a thermal insulation coating which is made of thermally insulating material, for example elastomer. According to one embodiment of the invention, the thermally insulating layer extends over a height of at least 1.5 cm, and advantageously a height of at least 2 cm, above the upper end of the peripheral wall of the bowl body. Such a feature makes it possible to limit heating
