Description

TITLE COVERING DEVICE FOR COVERING THE LIPS AND CORNERS OF THE MOUTH DESCRIPTION The present invention relates to a covering device for covering the lips and corners of the mouth of a patient during a treatment and a method for producing a covering device. Intraoral scanners are frequently used in the dental treatment process. A digital impression is taken quickly and is more comfortable for the patient than using a tray and impression material. The scan requires good access to the oral cavity in order to be able to guide the intraoral scanner around the teeth under visual control and to maintain control over moisture and saliva. The use of lip-cheek retractors is a suitable aid in this case. Rigid or hard lip-cheek retractors can achieve a wide opening of the mouth, but are generally uncomfortable to wear, cause pressure points and come into contact with the intraoral scanner. Soft lip-cheek retractors, on the other hand, gently open the patient's mouth. The lip-cheek retractor has the task of holding the lips and the cheek mucosa in a circular manner from the front teeth to the rear molars with little tension, thus To greatly expand the dentist’s field of work. Especially in In surgery, an easily accessible and clearly arranged work area is essential. The lip-cheek retractor is elastic in all three dimensions, made from latex-free material and designed for single use. The elasticity enables unrestricted, complete opening and closing of the mouth as well as sideways movements of the jaw. However, the intraoral scanner slides poorly along the rubber-like material composition and sometimes gets stuck (stick-slip effect). If it gets stuck on the lip-cheek holder, the flow of movement is interrupted. This makes it difficult to record the intraoral scan. In addition, the The user's attention is diverted from the actual acquisition of the intraoral scan. A higher force is applied to set the head of the intraoral scanner in motion again. This often results in a jerky movement so that the data density is unevenly distributed over the tooth surface. The poor sliding can even lead to the lip-cheek retractor being pulled out of the oral cavity and falling out. It is the technical object of the present invention to provide a dental covering device that facilitates an intraoral scan using an intraoral scanner. In addition, it is a technical object of the present invention to provide a covering device that has sterile properties and is thus suitable for reducing the risk of infection in a simple manner during oral surgical procedures. This task is carried out by items according to the independent Requirements solved. Technically advantageous embodiments are Subject matter of the dependent claims, the description and the drawings . According to a first aspect, the technical problem is solved by a covering device for covering the lips and corners of the mouth of a patient during treatment, with an elastic lip tensioning element, an elastic vestibular tensioning element; and a film section connecting the tensioning elements, which comprises a surface made of polyolefin. The covering device achieves the technical advantage that the intraoral scanner can be guided around the dental arches at a constant speed and force. In a technically advantageous embodiment of the covering device, the film section is made of polyolefin. This achieves the technical advantage, for example, that the production of the film section is simplified. In a further technically advantageous embodiment of the covering device, the polyolefin comprises a polyethylene (PE). The polyolefin is preferably made entirely of polyethylene (PE). The polyolefin is particularly preferably a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). LLDPE provides chemical resistance, good impact resistance at low temperatures, a low density (0.85 g/cm 3 - 0.95 g/cm 3 ), excellent processing properties and good compression set properties. In addition, the technical advantage is achieved that the film section can be sterilized particularly well using radiation, for example with beta rays, gamma rays or X-rays, or by using ethylene oxide (EtO). In a further technically advantageous embodiment of the covering device, the elastic lip tensioning element and/or the elastic vestibular tensioning element comprises a surface made of polyolefin. This achieves the technical advantage, for example, that the sliding properties of the covering device are improved even further. In a further technically advantageous embodiment of the covering device, the elastic lip tensioning element and/or the elastic vestibular tensioning element is made of polyolefin. This achieves the technical advantage, for example, that the manufacture of the lip tensioning element and/or the vestibular tensioning element is simplified. In another technically advantageous embodiment of the covering device, the film section has a thickness of between 0.05 mm - 0.5 mm. This achieves the technical advantage that the film sec
