Abstract
The invention relates to a filter element (10) for a filter system (100) for filtering a fluid, in particular oil or fuel, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a unit comprising an electric motor, axle and transmission, with at least one filter medium (12) which surrounds an element interior space (14) and is connected to an end plate (18) on at least one axial end side (16) with regard to a longitudinal axis (80). The end plate (18) has an element drain opening (20) which is connected fluidically to the element interior space (14) and has at least one first sealing element (32) which runs around the element drain opening (20) and points radially inwards, and which element drain opening, in the case of a correct installation into a filter housing (110) of the filter system (100), is closable and/or is closed by way of a drain closure element (150) which is arranged on a housing part (112) of the filter housing (110). The end plate (18) has a receiving portion (22) which is designed to guide the drain closure element (150) which surrounds the element drain opening (20) peripherally. The invention furthermore relates to a drain closure element (150) and to a filter system (100).

Claims (16)
- 1. Filter element (10) for a filter system (100) for filtering a fluid, in particular oil or fuel, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular a unit comprising an electric motor, axle and transmission, with at least one filter medium (12) which surrounds an element interior (14) and which is connected to an end plate (18) on at least one axial end face (16) with respect to a longitudinal axis (80), wherein the end plate (18) has an element drain opening (20) which is fluidically connected to the element interior (14) and has at least one first sealing element (32) which runs around the element drain opening (20), which points radially inwards and which, when installed as intended in a filter housing (110) of the filter system (100), can be closed and/or closed with a drain closure element (150) arranged on a housing part (112) of the filter housing (110), wherein the first sealing element (32) is designed to is to bear sealingly against a first sealing surface (172) of the drain closure element (150), wherein the end plate (18) has a receiving section (22) which is designed to guide the drain closure element (150), which circumferentially surrounds the element drain opening (20) and which has at least a second circumferential sealing element (34) which, when installed as intended in the filter housing (110), bears sealingly against a sealing surface (130) of the housing part (112), wherein the receiving section (22) has at least a third circumferential sealing element (36) which bears sealingly against a second sealing surface (174) of the drain closure element (150).
- 2. Filter element according to claim 1, wherein the first, second and third sealing elements (32, 34, 36) are designed as radially sealing sealing elements (32, 34, 36).
- 3. Filter element according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the second and third sealing elements (34, 36) are arranged on a radial outer side (24) of the receiving section (22), or wherein the second sealing element (34) is arranged on the radial outer side (24) of the receiving section (22) and the third sealing element (36) is arranged on a radial inner side (26) of the receiving section (22).
- 4. Filter element according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the second sealing element (34) and the third sealing element (36) have an equal radial distance from the longitudinal axis (80), or wherein one of the second and third sealing elements (34, 36) is arranged at a greater radial distance (28) from the longitudinal axis (80) than the other of the second and third sealing elements (36, 34).
- 5. Filter element according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the second sealing element (34) is arranged along the longitudinal axis (80) between the first sealing element (32) and the third sealing element (36), or wherein the second sealing element (34) is arranged at the same height of the longitudinal axis (80) as the third sealing element (36).
- 6. Filter element according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the receiving section (22) is movably connected to the end plate (18) along the longitudinal axis (80), in particular axially limited, in particular wherein the receiving section (22) and the end plate (18) have complementary connecting elements (42, 44) of a connection (40), in particular a snap connection (40), which allows a particularly axially limited movement of the receiving section (22) along the longitudinal axis (80) relative to the end plate (18).
- 7. Filter element according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the first sealing element (32) is integrated into the end plate (18), in particular wherein the first sealing element (32) is formed integrally with the end plate (18).
- 8. Drain closure element (150) for a filter system (100) for filtering a fluid, in particular oil or fuel, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular a unit comprising an electric motor, axle and transmission, with a filter element (10) according to one of the preceding claims, comprising an element body (152) with a first sealing surface (172) for sealing against a sealing element (32) of an element drain opening (20) of the filter element (10) and with a second sealing surface (174) for sealing against a sealing element (36) of a receiving section (22) of the filter element (10), wherein the sealing surfaces (172, 174) each surround a longitudinal axis (80) all the way around, wherein the drain closure element (150) can be connected to a filter housing (110) of the filter system (100) with respect to the longitudinal axis (80) by means of a rotating and/or plugging movement.
- 9. The drain closure element according to claim 8, wherein the element body (152) comprises a connecting part (153) and a centering part (154), wherein the centering part (154) has the first sealing surface (172) and the connecting part (153) has the second sealing surface (174).
- 10. Drain closure element according to claim 9, wherein the centering part (154) is movably connected to the connecting part (153) along the longitudinal axis (80), in particular axially limited, in particular wherein the connecting part (153) and the centering part (154) have complementary connecting elements (162, 164) of a connection (160) which allows a, in particular axially limited, movement of the centering part (154) along the longitudinal axis (80) relative to the connecting part (153).
- 11. Drain closure element according to one of claims 8 to 10, wherein, when arranged as intended, there is a drain channel (170) which leads to an outer side (120) of the filter housing (110), in particular wherein the drain channel (170) is present in the connecting part (153).
- 12. Filter system (100) for filtering a fluid, in particular oil or fuel, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular a unit comprising an electric motor, axle and transmission, with a filter housing (110) which has at least one fluid inlet (102) and at least one fluid outlet (104) and in which a filter element (10) according to one of claims 1 to 7 is arranged such that it separates the at least one fluid inlet (102) from the at least one fluid outlet (104), and with a drain device (116) for fluid contained in the filter housing (110), which has at least one housing drain opening (118) which can be closed and/or is closed during normal operation with a drain closure element (150) according to one of claims 8 to 11, wherein the filter element (10) has at least one filter medium (12) which surrounds an element interior (14) and which is provided on at least one end face (16) is connected to an end plate (18), wherein the end plate (18) has an element drain opening (20) which is fluidically connected to the element interior (14) and can be closed and/or is closed with the drain closure element (150) during normal operation.

Filter system according to claim 12, wherein the drain closure element (150) has an element body (152) with a first sealing surface (172) for sealing against a sealing element (32) of the element drain opening (20) of the filter element (10) and with a second sealing surface (174) for sealing against a sealing element (36) of a receiving section (22) of the filter element (10), which each surround a longitudinal axis (80) in an encircling manner, wherein the drain closure element (150) can be and/or is connected to the filter housing (110) with respect to the longitudinal axis (80) by means of a rotary and/or plug-in movement.
- 14. The filter system of claim 13, wherein the element body (152) comprises a connecting part (153) and a centering part (154), wherein the centering part (154) has the first sealing surface (172) and the connecting part (153) has the second sealing surface (174).
- 15. Filter system according to claim 14, wherein the centering part (154) is movably connected to the connecting part (153) along the longitudinal axis (80), in particular axially limited, in particular wherein the connecting part (153) and the centering part (154) have complementary connecting elements (162, 164) of a connection (160), in particular a snap connection (160), which allows a movement, in particular axially limited, of the centering part (154) along the longitudinal axis (80) relative to the connecting part (153).
- 16. Filter system according to one of claims 12 to 15, wherein, when arranged as intended, there is a drainage channel (170) which leads to an outer side (120) of the filter housing (110), in particular wherein the drainage channel (170) is present in the connecting part (153).

State of the art In filter housings of openable hanging filter systems, i.e. housing parts that can be removed downwards, it is necessary to open a drain opening before unscrewing the housing cover, for example when servicing the filter system, so that the liquid in the housing can drain away. For this purpose, filters are usually equipped with sealing plugs, screw plugs or similar. These sealing plugs require a seal, for example an O-ring, to seal the raw and clean sides. WO 2019/120976 describes a filter element of a filter for liquid, in particular oil or fuel, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, with a filter medium which surrounds an element interior in a circumferentially continuous manner with respect to an imaginary axis and which is connected to an end body on at least one end face axial with respect to the axis. The end body has a filter element idle opening surrounding the axis, which is connected to the element interior, and a Filter element sealing surface or filter element sealing surface of a filter element sealing device which surrounds the filter element idle opening in a circumferentially continuous manner and with which the filter element idle opening can be closed when the filter is assembled.
