EP-4740683-A1 - APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USER PLANE FUNCTION (UPF) BASED PDU SET HANDLING DATA CHANNEL (PDC) OPERATION
Abstract
Systems, methods, devices, and instrumentalities are described herein related to wireless transmit/receive unit based PDC creation. A device (e.g., an enabler server) may include a processor configured to perform one or more actions. The device may receive a first message from a second network node. The first message may be associated with a protocol data unit (PDU) session and include a PDU set handling data channel (PDC) setup information element (IE). The device may send a second message to a third network node, wherein the second message indicates a request to create a PDC and include the PDC setup IE. The device may receive a third message from the third network node. The third message may indicate the PDC has been established. The device may determine that the PDC is associated with the PDU session based on the PDC setup IE.
