Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a plate-shaped building material with moisture-absorbing properties, which can be used, for example, for the renovation or drying of flat roofs or other building elements. State of the art: In the field of construction, it is known to use studded panels for drying and insulating flat roofs, which are coated with a moisture-absorbing material. In the European patent application EP 1223261 This document describes how coated studded panels are used for the renovation of damp flat roofs. The hydrophilic, usually cement-based coating of the studded panel ensures the timely drying of the underlying layers and allows the existing roof structure to be preserved. Similar applications, based on building physics principles, can be used for drying horizontal surfaces such as damp screeds, concrete components, or ceilings, and/or vertical components such as walls. In the prior art, the hydrophilic coating is usually sprayed onto the studded plates, or the studded plates are immersed in a coating bath. However, these coating methods have several disadvantages. Firstly, larger quantities of the coating material must be premixed and stored, which leads to deposits. Furthermore, the curing of the mixed coating material causes problems and complicates the handling and cleaning of the equipment. In addition, material consumption is increased. Moreover, homogeneous coating of all necessary vertical and/or horizontal surfaces, and especially the sides of the studded plate, is usually not possible due to the typically high viscosity of the mixed coating compound. This results in varying and often excessive coating thicknesses. Purpose of the invention: It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide an improved method for coating studded panels, by means of which the moisture-absorbing coating is applied uniformly to all surfaces, including the vertical or possibly also conical flanks of the studs, and the disadvantages of mixing the coating material with the undesirable effects of deposits, increased cleaning and maintenance effort, and higher material requirements of the coating material do not occur. This problem is solved according to the invention by the features specified in independent claims 1 and 2. Further embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims. Solution to the problem: The invention provides a method in which the moisture-absorbing layer is applied to a studded structure in a preferably multi-stage process. The various components, such as the adhesive and coating material, can be applied spatially in one location or in successive steps – similar to a production line. This enables flexible and efficient handling of the coating process. According to the invention, a first method for producing a plate-shaped building material with moisture-absorbing properties is proposed, comprising at least the following steps: Providing a plate-shaped studded structure; Applying an adhesive to the studded structure and Application of a moisture-absorbing coating material in powder form. The application of the adhesive and coating material can be carried out in successive process steps. However, both materials can also be applied simultaneously, for example, by conveying a powdered coating material onto the textured surface, mixing it with an adhesive while it is still in the air (before it reaches the surface of the textured surface). The powdered coating material can, for example, trickle down onto the textured surface under the influence of gravity and, while still in the air, The surface is sprayed with an adhesive. The moistened coating material then falls onto the textured surface and adheres there. The coating process can take place, for example, in a vortex chamber. According to the invention, the powdered coating material can be either dry or slightly moistened. Furthermore, an alternative second method for producing a plate-shaped building material with moisture-absorbing properties is proposed, comprising at least the following steps: Providing a plate-shaped studded structure; Applying a moisture-absorbing coating material in powder form to the studded structure without having previously coated it with an adhesive and Applying a binder to the studded structure to bind the previously applied coating material. According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the nubbed structure is provided with an adhesive before the application of the moisture-absorbing coating material and with a binder after the application of the coating material. Such a method then comprises at least the following steps: Providing a plate-shaped studded structure; Applying an adhesive to the studded structure; Applying a moisture-absorbing coating material in powder form to the nubbed structure and Applying a binder to the studded structure to bind the coating material. The aforementioned steps 2 (application of adhesion promoter) and 3 (application of coat
