Method and device for controlling a motorized vehicle flap

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling a motorized flap (6) of a vehicle (2). The method comprises: receiving an opening command (CM1) requiring the opening (MV1) of the motorized flap (6); detecting the position of an external control device (DV1) relative to the motorized flap (6); analyzing, by means of a radar sensor (16), a detection zone (Z3) near the motorized flap (6), in which a masking zone (Z2) containing said position is excluded from the detection zone (Z3) used for said analysis; and controlling the motorized flap (6) including, if an obstacle (OB) likely to collide with the motorized flap (6) when opened is detected in the detection zone (Z3), blocking or suspending the opening (MV1) of the motorized flap (6).
