Abstract

A method for managing the water supply to an auxiliary reservoir (14) of a cordless iron (1) equipped with a vaporization chamber (120) supplied with water from the auxiliary reservoir (14), said vaporization chamber (120) being provided in a heating element (12) comprising heating means (12A), and the auxiliary reservoir (14) being supplied with water from a charging base (2) when the iron (1) rests on the base (2) in a charging position, characterized in that, during each instant of connection of the iron (1) to the base (2), the quantity of water sent to the auxiliary reservoir (14) is less than or equal to the quantity of water that can be vaporized using the energy transmitted to the heating element (12) by the heating means (12A) during that same instant of connection.
