Abstract
The invention relates to a method for controlling an on-board navigation system in a vehicle, comprising obtaining (400; 401) an image including a sign displaying information about at least one service station and identifying (402), for each of said at least one service station, a brand name and a distance from said at least one service station, from the image obtained. The method then comprises determining (403), for each of said at least one service station, a point of interest from the brand name and said distance, the point of interest being assigned to the service station.
