Abstract

----- Bioclimatic Planter The planter comprises an outer casing (2) including a base plate (3) and side panels (4); and within said casing: a water reservoir (7) resting on the plate (3) and having at least one opening in its upper part; a growing area above the reservoir (7) and separated from it by a divider (11); a water supply device (13) opening into the reservoir (7) and including a filling opening accessible from the outside; at least one capillary transfer cord (7) extending into the water reservoir through the opening(s) in its upper part and passing through the separator (11) to deliver the water to the growing area; at least one free space (30) is provided between the casing (4) and the reservoir (7), and the plate (3) has at least one water drainage opening (20; 21) communicating with the free space(s) (30); at least one water drainage opening (33) is provided in the separator (11) above the free space(s) (30); and, where applicable, at least one water overflow passage (29) is provided at or near the upper edge of the water reservoir (7) and communicating with the associated free space (30).
