Abstract
The present invention relates to a control method for a motor vehicle comprising a powertrain (1), including the following successive steps: during a deceleration phase of said vehicle, a torque setpoint is taken at the wheels by a speed limiting function (9) when the accelerator pedal is lifted from a depressed position corresponding to zero acceleration of said vehicle; and during this deceleration phase, the torque setpoint is transiently controlled by a third setpoint value calculated by said speed limiting function (9) and dependent on a first and a second setpoint value calculated respectively from the driver's input and the speed limiting function (9). The invention is applicable to hybrid and electric powertrains. Figure 1.
