Abstract

The invention relates to a shock-absorbing device (1) designed to be fitted to a tricycle vehicle chassis (2). The device (1) comprises a first part (4) forming a crossmember designed to extend transversely between a front crossmember (5) of the chassis (2) and the front wheel (6) of the vehicle. The device (1) comprises a second part (9) designed to extend along at least a portion of the first part (4). The second part (9) is disposed between the first part (4) and the front wheel (6). The second part (9) is made of an elastically deformable material, shaped to be impacted by the front wheel (6) when the device is mounted on the chassis (2), and to deform in the event of a frontal impact on the vehicle in order to absorb at least a portion of the energy released by the impact.
