BOTTLE CAPSULES

Abstract

OVERCAP FOR BOTTLES An overcap (10) for bottles is described, consisting of a tubular body closed at one of its head ends (12). The tubular body is made from a laminated sheet material comprising at least one outer layer (14) and at least one inner layer (16) bonded together. The outer layer (14) is an aluminum layer and the inner layer (16) is a paper layer. The outer aluminum layer (14) has a thickness of between 20 microns and 30 microns and the inner paper layer (16) has a thickness of between 80 microns and 100 microns. The inner paper layer (16) is further made from a stretchable paper material, with an elongation percentage greater than or equal to 8%. The coupling between the outer layer (14) and the inner layer (16) is achieved by means of at least one intermediate layer (18) comprising a water-based acrylic adhesive and having a thickness between 1 micron and 5 microns.
