Abstract
The invention relates to the field of plant breeding and more specifically to marker-based selection methods. In particular, the invention relates to an in vitro method for identifying a plant belonging to the genus Elaeis exhibiting improved resistance to heart rot, said method comprising the detection in all or part of said plant of a QTL (Quantitative Trait Locus) associated with resistance to heart rot, preferably via the identification of at least one specific SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) on chromosome 2.
