Abstract

Method and Device for Geolocation of Mobile Devices, and Program Executing the Method The invention relates to a method and device for geolocating mobile devices, and a program executing the steps of the geolocation method. A mobile device is, in particular, any type of vehicle: land vehicle, aircraft, underground vehicle, etc., but also an individual, a moving object, etc. An object of the invention is a method for geolocating a mobile device comprising: - locating, relative to an optical fiber in a fiber optic network, a position of the mobile device based on an acoustic signal detected in a return signal at one end of the optical fiber, the acoustic signal having an acoustic signature of the mobile device. Thus, the geolocation of the mobile device cannot be interrupted or degraded by radio interference. Furthermore, it does not consume any energy useful to the mobile device during its movement.
