GR-1011125-B - HYBRID NANOSTRUCTURED ANTI-CORROSION COATING FOR STRUCTURAL STEEL
Abstract
The present invention relates to a coating for structural steel, which enhances its protection against corrosion and is applied during production/shaping of the steel. The coating consists of a) polysiloxanes, b) solvent, c) silicon dioxide nanoparticles, d) inorganic fillers based on titanium, zinc or talc, e) auxiliary additives (air-entraining agents, anti-foaming agents, dispersing agents, wetting agents), f) inorganic iron oxide pigment. Before application of the coating, a primer is used which exclusively consists of the same active resins (binder). The application method of the coating consists of the following steps: a) heating of steel rebars, b) primer spraying/immersion, c) further heating of the sprayed/immersed steel, d) coating spraying/immersion, e) cooling and cutting of the coated steel rebars at room temperature conditions.
