GR-1011137-B - CONSUMPTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE EFFICIENT OPERATION OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES VIA ENERGY COLLECTION
Abstract
The invention relates to a system destined for determining the desired time of inactivity or shutdown of embedded electronic systems powered by a rechargeable energy accumulator, and to the potential electrical energy collection from the environment, at the point of their installation. The application of said method results in the adjustment of the consumption so that the operation of the device is achieved within the desired consumption parameters to achieve perpetual operation through the collection of energy from the environment. This method is implemented through incorporated software that runs on the electronic system during its normal operation period and allows the calculation of the desired time of staying in a low consumption state (sleep time) with a minimum computational and energy burden of the underlying system. The functions implemented by said method include: a) calculation of the energy balance during the previous period of operation, b) determination of the energy state (surplus or deficit of energy), c) calculation of the necessary period of operation in a low consumption state for the next period.
