MYOINOSITOL SINGLE-DOSE DRINKING SOLUTION SUPPORTING WOMEN WITH POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME

Abstract

The present invention relates to orally administrated compositions suitable for supporting women with polycystic ovary syndrome, which compositions contain: a) myoinositol and no other inositol isomer; b) one or more vitamins that contribute to the reduction of hyperhomocysteinemia, preferably one or more B vitamins (preferably folic acid and/or vitamin B12); c) one or more hormones involved inthe normal function of the ovaries, preferably melatonin; d) one or more inactive excipients. Said compositions are formulated in a single-dose drinking solution which is suitable for direct consumption from its container which container consists of a vial containing the myoinositol and a storage cap containing the vitamins and hormones; this cap seals the vial which contains the liquid phase in solution form while the cap contains the solid phase. The various ingredients can be mixed shortly before administration by bringing the solid phase into contact with the liquid phase by pressing the cap; after mixing, the cap is removed, allowing immediate consumption of the solution created in the vial.
