Abstract
The present invention relates to a small-sized device, specifically designed for use as a payload by unmanned vehicles and methods for rapid detection and quantification of gases, volatile organic compounds and particles in the air. The device has an aerodynamic design, performs detection, realtime quantification (real time analyzer) and air quality environmental monitoring. The device carries a special small sample trap that can be safely transported to the laboratory for analysis or, if there is a possibility of on-site chemical analysis, to perform field chemical analysis. According to the present invention, the device can cope with rapid changes in pressure, temperature and ambient humidity that affect the reliability of the measurements, having special algorithms and software that, among other things, appropriately correct the measurements.
