Abstract

The invention relates to a process for producing building elements, preferably bricks, particularly preferably sand bricks, from granular mineral raw materials, wherein the mineral raw material is preferably sand, particularly preferably desert sand.The essence of the method according to the invention is that the granular mineral raw material is dry-mixed with 5-20% by weight of dry urea-formaldehyde, then a solution of the crosslinking catalyst that initiates polymerization is prepared separately, the solution is added to the dry mixture prepared in the previous step, the wet mixture is poured into a press mold, then pressed in a heat press, removed from the press, and finally the product is left to stand until polymerization is complete.
