Description

Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the distribution of the luminance blocks adjacent to the upper and left sides of the current block. As shown in Figure 3, both of the above lists are derived based on the optimal modes of the luminance blocks adjacent to the upper (A) and left sides of the current block (L) shown in Figure 3 . The image prediction method according to the present invention can influence the entropy coding process and the entropy decoding process in the coding/decoding process. For example, the image prediction method according to the present invention can be applied to position 109 in the structure of the video coding system shown in Figure 5, and can also be applied to position 201 in the structure of the video decoding system shown in Figure 6.
