Description

Alternatively, the second critical update flag signaling may be redefined as indicating that channel information for another AP in a second AP multilink device other than the transmitted AP is being changed, or that the critical parameter update value for another AP is being changed, or that the critical parameter update value for an untransmitted AP is being changed, within the RNR element. For example, if the second critical update flag signaling indicates channel information of another AP in the second AP multilink device other than transmitted APs, within the RNR element, the second critical update flag signaling may be set to a first value, e.g., 1; or if the critical parameter update value of another AP in the second AP multilink device changes, the second critical update flag signaling may be set to a first value, e.g., 1; or if the critical parameter update value of an untransmitted AP in the second AP multilink device changes, the second critical update flag signaling may be set to a first value, e.g., 1. Otherwise, the second critical update flag signaling is set to a second value, e.g., 0. It should be noted that if the second critical update flag signaling is set to a first value, the value must be maintained until the next DTIM beacon frame. After the DTIM beacon frame, the second critical update flag signaling is reset to a second value. Alternatively, the second critical update flag signaling may be redefined to indicate that information about another AP in the second AP multilink device other than the transmitted AP (e.g., including one or more of the channel information, critical parameter update values, and link identifiers) within the RNR element has changed, or that information about an untransmitted AP (e.g., including one or more of the critical parameter update values and link identifiers) has changed. This may also be described as the second critical update flag signaling being redefined to indicate that information about another AP in the second AP multilink device other than the transmitted AP has changed (or is described as a reconfiguration of information about another AP in the second AP multilink device other than the transmitted AP), or that a critical parameter update value for another AP has changed, or that a critical parameter update value for an untransmitted AP has changed. Information about another AP in the second AP multilink device other than the transmitted AP (or is described as reconfiguration information) may be carried in the management frame, and it should be noted that the management frame carries the RNR element. For example, if the second critical update flag signaling indicates information about another AP in the second AP multilink device other than the AP that has already transmitted (including channel information, critical parameter update values, and link identifiers) in the RNR element, the second critical update flag signaling may be set to the first value, for example, 1. Alternatively, if information about an untransmitted AP (including critical parameter update values and link identifiers) changes, the second critical update flag signaling may be set to the first value, for example, 1. Otherwise, the second critical update flag signaling is set to the second value, for example, 0. It should be noted that if the second critical update flag signaling is set to the first value, the value must be maintained until the next DTIM beacon frame. After the DTIM beacon frame, the second critical update flag signaling is reset to the second value.
